I see that lol, I skimmed through the thread quick. Those cakes look a little bacterial to me.  Other than tossing them and starting fresh, spawning to coir seems to be the only other option

Ya that myc is pretty puffy. He doesn't want to toss them but he could definitely try to save some of it on agar. It would take some time to get it clean, but what else can you do, ya know?

I feel bad the direction this thread took. OP you need to do some reading. People have offered you free prints here already but, if your too stubborn to take them, then at least familiarize yourself with printing. That way at least if one of those things manages to produce a fruit, you can at least get some more spores to work with. Here is a old but good tek on small scale printing that is pretty clean and always worked for me.

http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/4877668

Okay I am off to bed. Good luck OP. Open your mind and adjust your attitude and good things will happen

Nothing got to me, bud. I'm just saying that there are better ways of expressing yourself. By all means, continue to play defense with your emotions because of your MASSIVE ego. I hope you do get fruits so you can experience ego death and realize what a dick you are for no reason.

I don't ass kiss, I just owe the people on this site a lot, because without them knowing it, they taught me everything I know. And I didn't have to ask a single question. It's called respect. I guess when you're probably all of 18, it's a little difficult to grasp the concept.

Touché my friend, touché! Probably wouldnt hurt me to experience some good ol' ego death again! Its been a really really long time... But that doesnt change the simple facts that I asked, and quite nicely too, for some thoughts on how to save my abominations (thats a 10$ word for ya right there yw;). Given I couldve been a little more specific like "except throw them away". But I didnt at all expect 5 year olds to hijack the whole thread just cause I call ppl out on their shitty answers, thats if you can call most of it "answers". I mean didnt you ever learn if you got nothing nice to say...? Im pretty sure we all did... Bringing me to my question, if not to suck up, then please, seriously, please, explain to me the goal of this comment:

There is absolutely nothing in your post thats not common knowledge, yet you feel som deep need to say it anyway. Why is that? Could it be because you know the peeps you look up to are listening? Oh oops, I guess it could, cause nothing you say isnt stating whats already apparent to all of us;)

He was told to case it, use agar to save some myc, make a monotub out of his pmp, etc. The kid is just doesn't take criticism very well.

Oh and I love how you keep switching up the reason for me being pissed from post to post. Real nice! The thread derailed after 3rd page, after that it just turned into putting disillisioned retards like you in their place;) I take critisicm as any other guy, I just dont take it well when retards litter my thread with something that has noe substance or use, then when they get called out on it start acting like 5 year olds. Then cause he has some friend named pasty that guy gets involved too. Then he manages to create so much anger and chaos that pasty takes rude answers as ment to him, and fails to see the edited post for hours. Meanwhile other "maggots" spawn to his side ready to grab any oppertunity to that might present itself to get on his good side. As you can see some loser even manged to hook himself some spores through the insecurities of purepleasure! AMAZING!!!

So to summerize I take critisism pretty well, especially when I ask for it! But useless retards pissing around trying to make a name for themselves or get themselves some free samples are easily squashed;)

Yea if he can learn agar which is fairly simple, he could turn that mess into a long time supply

This was in response to you saying first impressions are everything, and you made the worst one possible. That is all.

As for me saying you don't take criticism well, it's because you don't. You responding to that comment is evidence enough in itself.

Thats the plan now, one dumpling for agar, one crumble into something. Why exacltly coir? Several ppl suggests it independently, why exactly this substrate? Why not sawdust f.ex?

coconut fibers compressed into a brick. You can find it online or in your local pet supply store. If you go this route, hydrate about a quart of the coir to fill capacity, pasteurize. forget about verm since you've made it clear you cannot obtain it, then crumble your cake into it and mix in a tub. Seal your tub till fully colonized then introduce fresh air to fruit.

If you plan on saving some myc through agar work, you only need a tiny piece of the myc from the oatmeal cake. You will most likely have to do a few transfers to fresh dishes each time because that myc is definitely contaminated since it's been in fresh air.

Through some diligent reading and careful inspection of well established teks on this website, you can turn those failures into a lifelong supply of inoculant.

Actually this is my second impression... And actually I didnt say anything about or you til you started accumulating wiseass suckup comments. And suckup is always funny:D Youre pretty good at it my friend!

And me responding to you has nothing to do with critisicm, it has to do with your wild constructs of reality, and me keeping them in check mr pornstar...

Coir has what cubes want to eat to grow an survive. It is also very easy to prepare.

Do you have access to horse poop? That works great for mixing your mycelium oat with.

Try watching a video called " let's grow mushrooms" type it in google an it will pull up a series of videos made by a great guy.

Hope the best for you Galba :growshrooms:

Coir holds an abundance of water which is cruicial for mushroom growth. Sawdust will hold some water but nothing like coir but it should work.

You don't need the whole cake for agar, several grain sized pieces will be plenty and just crumble and spawn the 2 cakes to pasteurized field capacity coir or sawdust if you must.

The type of mushroom you are trying to grow is not a wood lover so sawdust isn't an option.
Coir is your best option right now,  if you can't get coir then horse manure but coir is much easier to use if you are a first time grower.

Seems coir is, JUST AS EXPECTED by my ridiculous intelligence, made out of coconut fiber. So it would seem what you are saying has already been suggested several times... But gj retyping it though!
