They look like spuds; They might fully colonize and pin after about a week and a half. Fingers crossed for no contaminates. Build a shotgun fruiting chamber asap

Get a life asshole... pasty I was quoting him, not you, you have been contructive, thx. There was a reason I waited a whole month before joining and writing something, I wouldve thought the comic tone of my post coupled with humility and self joking would keep the unconstructive retards out to feel better about themselves away, since most of that tend to go right over their head anyway. I guess I was wrong, Im sorry to have upset you guys:)

This forum is a JOKE! I asked several questions, and 15 posts later still not ONE answer to them. Just alot of "do this with you grains" and "oat meal bla bla bla", it seems like you guys have gotten so used to answering ppl that "the answers are already hear on the site" that you dont even listen to the question(s) anymore.

Answer to OP yes I personally would throw them away. Read a ton more and learn new methods that will actually work.

Dude, pasty answered you many times. It's not his fault you were too upset at buck to acknowledge his answers. Take a horse sized chill pill, bro.

He did??? Can you please quote him? Im having a seriously HARD time finding his answer to my question(s).
EDIT:
Quote:
The oat jar you posted later will do better expanded to more oats and then spawned. I know a thing or two about growing on oats. . .
Is this it??? Is that the one where he answered me??? Cause thats the closest I can get; him hinting to having alot of experience with the substrate in question but not actually giving me any thought to what he WOULD DO.

Throw them in the garbage and start over. That's what I would do with them. I believe i indicated that. Everything else I posted was just an attempt to point you in the right direction with what you may have available. Those oatmeal cakes might put out a couple grams, or they could turn green. Personally I would consider it a waste of time to find out

Pastywhyte said: Yeah that was the ramblings of an ignoramus. You can't get verm. Gotcha. Still no reason to use a shitty PMP. If your using grains then spawn em to coir, manure, straw, fuck you could use lawn clippings, I'm sure even Norway has lawns. Then make a monotub. Or build a SGFC. Uncased grain cakes are going to do shitty, the PMP will do them no favors.
Also you have a lot of learning if you think that the fruiting chamber needs super high RH. 60% RH is fine for most FC's.

Pastywhyte said: Dude chill. Your taking it way to personal. Yes I read the OP and saw the pic. It looks fucked. You might see a few fruits but its no way to grow. I know you were growing on oatmeal. Its crap. It looks nearly as shitty as the PMP. PMP is the worst fruiting chamber there is. The oat jar you posted later will do better expanded to more oats and then spawned. I know a thing or two about growing on oats. . .
I'm giving you gold. Either google translate is fucked or you need to pull your head outta your ass.
Boom! You asked what he would do and those are his answers. What else were you expecting when you ask "what would YOU do?" That is what he would do. Nuff said

Thank you for coming back. I think this is the essence of "our" problem. To me they mean the world, since its my first project, to you they are doplets in the sea. You hinted very well that they have very little worth to you, the whole setup in fact, which is not somthing that came unexpected to me either. But actually throwing them away (and youre the 2nd one to suggest so now) is something thats unexpected to me. Did you guys consider I have no more spores, or are you maybe counting on the inoculated grain as backup/source? Would it really not even be worth it to try to inoculate new stubstrate with it? Or tranfer some isolated mycelia to pda???
natedawgnow, no man, that doesnt add up. Row row row your boat...

You could try to break them up into a small amount of coir in a mini monotub or something, like pasty originally proposed. That may be your only way of getting a significant yield

If you put it to agar then it could go forever.
If that cake means that much to you then try an crumble an case. See if it will colonize a casing layer an then fruit...
....or die to contamination.
If it does die you will throw it away because you will know that it's time.
Does it smell like fresh mushrooms?

Leave it to the ego retard to not understand sarcasm...
nate, maybe its all the same to you guys, but with my lesser knowledge and experience I didnt want to cut grains and oat meal into the same category. He gave me a suggestion what to do with my grains, I asked what do do with the oat meal. This isnt hard to understand... Maybe its the same to you, if so then now its the same for me too, if not then those are two different things right?
trailboy, THATS THE THING, it smells like fresh mushrooms!!! FRESH! And the mycelium is still expanding on the underside of them. The casing is what I though is my best bet too, but wanted to hear from ppl who have actually done these things before, maybe you had some ideas I never heard/thought of. Casing it is then, and youre absolutely right, if it dies it dies, but its not dead yet nor dying;)
I know all of you here are used to talking about flushes, how many youll get and that stuff, but for me ONE mushroom, enough to a sporeprint and put me back to square one is actually a win...
