I dunno what in the hell would give you that impression. Judges are even worse than the most strict parents when it comes to "Do what I tell you to do or else".
Make sure you update this thread after you execute your plan with vivid details. It should at least be good for a nice laugh.
I will for sure update you guys on what happens. My next review is aug 8 so if I don't post that's day then you'll know I'm in jail. I plan on making this bigger than just a one man army I'm trying to get as many people as possible. It's time.
You do realize that people test dirty for thc on the regular and compound their problems. It is one of the few things with a +72 hour window. As much as I understand your desire to make change this will only change your path from towards exiting the justice system into the heart of the beast.
And as mentioned never tell a judge anything that isn't a response to a direct question the asked, them folks have some egos for sure.

aler said: Hai guys long time no see!! I've recently been self medicating while on probation since I get super nauseous after eating the smallest amounts of food, so I saw the doctor and got prescribed Zofran but that didn't even help at all. So I thought the smart thing to do would be self medication. I smoked yesterday after eating a corn dog and I felt no nausea at all. It was pretty awesome being able to munch out without getting sick.
But anyways, I wanted to take a stand at my next probation review and tell the judge that there's nothing wrong with self medicating and that in the end as a judge, it's his job to settle the difference between right and wrong and not what the law says because the law is not always right. I haven't been ua though in about 2 months but my plan is to take a stand if I ever get a dirty ua. I've also motivated a bunch of other people on probation to take a stand.
I was wondering what's your opinion on this and how do you think it'll go? I want to show the judge there's nothing wrong with it and I'll continue to do so.
Thanks!
I have the EXACT same problem bro. I suffer from bad nausea and nobody knows why. Weirdly enough, poppy pods remove most of that nausea and I get the munchies. I have no contacts for weed so I can't try that

Dont do it dude. It will almost certainly end badly for you. You violated probation. The Judge will seek justice for that and punish you accordingly.

OP, the courts have no compassion or morals (aside from those required by law). Arguing with a judge is like arguing with a cop. You're better off not saying a damn thing unless it will clearly benefit you in a legal sense. When you plead guilty to the judge your jail sentence probably won't even make the paper, and if it does, then the people reading about it will forget about you in between sips of coffee. Getting eaten up by the legal system won't change a damn thing. Successful protests involve large organised groups of people with the right goals and methods, and even when they work they still change almost nothing. Your efforts would be better spent by surviving as a criminal and gaining the respect of the people around you. Cultural norms are way more powerful than deviant pleas for mercy or justice.

That's what weed does to you, careless and stupid
You don't piss on the law, and then disrespect the officer afterwards
If you piss on the law, you always have a really good excuse, not a bad excuse that you were just self medicating, that's the worlds worst excuse, the excuse of an addict that lives in a dense fog of cannabis addiction
They'll throw your ass in jail right away and they'll be happy to do so to set an example out of you
There are much better ways, and they are politics if you really care, and another good way is just don't get caught If you get caught and you just don't care, take the penalty
But who doesn't care about their home, family, girlfriend etc. ?
A year in jail means you're never getting a normal work again likely in your life
Weed often makes people irresponsible/careless about their future, and that is not a good thing, you are lacking realism in life as everyone is telling you

OP, knowing if it was a drug charge in the first place greatly changes my advice. if it was, you're screwed and they won't tolerate drug use of any kind. unless you're a medical patient in a state court. if you are on probation for something else then they most likely aren't going to do a chemical analysis.
the most important thing i have learned when dealing with the law is never admit to breaking it. EVER in other words don't tell the judge about anything you have done illegal. if weed is legal for you then fuck it you theoretically have nothing to lose.

Trust me bro, they won't use lube either.

change isnt always for the positive, recidivism doesnt make a positive change, it makes another statistic for the drug war which reinforces in the minds of lawmakers and voters alike that drugs are bad because it makes people say and do stupid things...

yeah, most judges believe in jail time for probation violators and repeat offenders, I dunno, as crazy as it sonds they kinda see it as a slap to the face when they tell you you have a new set of rules to follow and you completely disregard them because you felt like getting high and decided to call it medication. for some reason they dont see self medication as actually getting medical help even when it's prescription drugs
so maybe he will stand up for what he believes in and you'll only get 6 months

Can you please explain your optimism and the mental image that's going through your head when you tell the judge basically "Look man, I know it's against my probation and I know you've set an order I'm not to do it, but I don't care and I'm just going to do it anyways"?
Do you picture the stern look fading from his face as the corners of his mouth start to tremble and then butterflies swoop out from behind him, and then his pupils start to dilate as he looks down and contemplates just how much of an unreasonable jackass he's been and finally conceded defeat and admits his fault and sees the light?
Like really, honestly, what do you see in your head?
I can tell you exactly what happens, and feel free to correct me if you prove me wrong. But he's going to be sitting there looking over paperwork and when you bring this up his ears are going to perk, he's going to heighten his gaze slowly to focus deadly on you, his eyes are going to start to squint, his forehead is going to wrinkle, he's going to stare at you hard for a few seconds, he's going to ask you to repeat yourself so there can be no mistake. He's going to listen, carefully to every word that leaves your mouth, he's going to sit back in his chair, take a breath, and then he's going to rip you a new one so hard you'd tuck your tail between your legs and run away whimpering if you even had the choice to.
Also as an added bonus, if you interrupt his tirade in any fashion, if you don't sit there silently and just take it, he's going to scream over you basically "If you don't shut the fuck up right now, this very second, I will find you in contempt" and if you keep on after that, he's going to have the bailiff take you to a holding cell. You're gonna get no chance to defend or explain yourself. Once you repeat to him what you said, you better buckle the fuck up and enjoy the ride. If you open your mouth to speak once he starts ripping your new asshole, you're going to get an entirely new charge.
