This is such a terrible idea. it amuses me that OP still plans to go through with it after 4 pages of warnings though
looking forward to the outcome, if op actually has the balls to try this.

Are judges really supposed to choose between right and wrong? I'm pretty sure it's just their job to interpret laws and give directions to law enforcement, nothing actually moral. It's his job not to be moved by your plea, whether he agrees with it or not.

uuh, yeah they supposed to and do choose between right and wrong.
is shooting someone in the face legal? no.
is shooting someone in the face when they are raping your wife legal? or husband? or if they are about to shoot you in the face? HMMMM....
turns out things are never so black and white, and morality is very much involved in the decision process.

The law has provisions for situations like those and they mandate lesser punishment Moral considerations like that aren't made by the judge, they're written into the laws and the judge just assesses how the law applies to real-life situations.

you've obviously never watched judge judy
in all seriousness, i think your right that morality shouldn't come into play, but it almost always does. and this isnt a perfect world
i dont wanna derail this thread, but just look at the recent supreme court ruling. when it comes down to it, the only defense that those 4 judges ruled against it was because it was amoral

No, they did it because they decided that banning gay marriage violated the Constitution. Obviously morality influenced their ruling but their actual work is amoral.

Those 4 judges were deeply-repressed closet homos.

Right, they are themselves constitutionally incapable of rational support for non-repressed out homos and their "deviant lifestyle" so they ignore legal provisions for equal rights. The judges in favor of banning the ban based their decision on laws that guarantee equal rights under the law for all people, and the fact that sodomy laws are mostly abolished by now and the fact that the medical community no longer considers it somehow worse for you than being straight also helps.

He's dead set on going to jail or rehab or performing 20-40 hours of community service for the cause bro. So let him. Sometimes you just have to sit back and watch.
