Outdoor Spent PC B+ Mycelium - How to promote fruit?
    #21864567 - 06/27/15 02:31 PM (8 years, 7 months ago)

Okay, so approximately 2 months I dug a whole and put PCB+ that wasn't fruiting. Therefor I decided to find a few keen spot to make a few hopeful beds. One bed looks promising considering I got one fruit from it. At the same time it's been really hot and I haven't been home to tend to it for the last month and a half. I ate the one fruit 3 weeks ago I found about 3 inches long fresh. I'm very impatient(FACTS). So I have been home the last 6 days and noticed mycelium coming from the patch. I decided to add supposedly pasteurized horse manure. The straw I added was not pasteurized. I am so inpatient and inquisitive every other day I scrape the top layer I added of "substrate" to look at the myc. That is also in part because I believe there are spores and myc colonies in the straw and horse manure and I don't want it to settle.

PS. I left out that I added perlite, woodchips(from my backyard not sterile or pasteurized), and miracle grow water crystals, to promote humidity.

(I just put those there to see if something is eating them which I believe is possible)

What can I do to promote fruiting mid-summer lol?

Smoke a bowl water it twice a week and wait. It'll go when it's ready

Well I've had them fruit indoors when it was 32C. Idk what that is in f but it's really damn hot.

Also I just had a recent contaminated pile fruit. Just a pile, not even buried. All I did was had a tarp over it and watered once or twice a week, if even. It's 1% humidity right now in plant hardiness zone 2 with 25-35 mph winds. Last week we had a total of 2 hours of rain. Most we've had all year. You live in zone 7a? Yeah you'll be fine.
