Upcoming Shroom Collection

To all who are interested,
My name is Tim. I am a cannabis consumer, a self-claimed philosopher, and totally stuck. I am in need of meaning. Cannabis has offered me some insight and I truly do appreciate it. However, there are answers that, perhaps, only my subconscious can provide. Throughout my investigation of psychedelic substances, psilocybin mushrooms seem to be the most rewarding.
I live in Los Angeles. Thus, meaning is difficult to find in the concrete jungle unless you are religious (there are sooooo many places of worship). It is unfair that spirituality and meaning are confined to exclusionary theological systems that define what significance and divinity ought to be. So, I propose a hunt.
I am looking for someone who is an expert identifier. Ideally, I'd appreciate someone with a background in science and not just expert foraging. The candidate must be able to distinguish between poison and psychedelic and must be willing to teach a noob. I am also looking for someone with experience in growing various species so that I can learn about the many nuances of the sacrament.
If you know of an area that is fresh for the picking that is somewhere within my vicinity and would like to take on the responsibility of educating someone new, please respond. I would like to do this within the next 2 months. That should give us time to familiarize ourselves with each other and get this done.
BTW If this post qualifies as against the rules, please know I'm not trying to abuse the system. I just need a mentor and this seems like a place to find one. I like to learn through hands-on experience and I know an expert can make that possible. I'm not trying to buy or sell anything, I just need a guide.
Please respond with a little blurb about your experience, qualifications, and thoughts for a shroom virgin. I look forward to working with you. Thank you kindly.
Tim.

You should wait till you can post in the gathering forum for this, if you took time to read the stickies of this forum you would see that these kinds of posts aren't really allowed here. Here we teach others how to identify their own finds, not find their mushrooms for them. Please in the future post when you find some mushrooms you are interested in and have pictures of them. The more detailed the pictures and other details you have on them the more we can help. If you need somewhere to start, look in well irrigated grassy places where you might find Panaeolus cinctulus or one of its lookalikes like P. olivaceus or P. fimicola which are all active. When its hot and humid is best, I'm sure you can find somewhere like that considering how good LA is at wasting water...

I didnt mean find them for me while I sit back on a chaise being fanned by servants. I'm asking for a knowledgable guide to come with me and teach. I just assumed that a category titled "Mushroom Hunting and Identification" would be the place to post this. I know you think I should do my own hunting but my reading suggests that you should hunt with an expert which I most certainly am not.

i understand what you'd like. you were clear enough. we'd all like that most likely. what Byrain is trying to explain is that despite your hope for what this forum might be able to do for you, based on its guidelines (which it is clear by your post you did not read) that is not the case.
craigslist may allow such postings, but not this forum. its just how it is. no offense meant.
