Dehydrator warping from heat?

So I just checked out my dehydrator for the first time in a few weeks, and the plastic trays and the top cove thing are pretty warped from using it.
I don't wanna have to buy another one, so is there anyway I can prevent further warping?

Seriously? Wat brand of dehydrator do you have?

Trade list in journal (partially under construction; more to be added) Don't judge a man by what kinda shoes he in, judge a man on where that man's shoes been.

Don't buy cheap dehydrators.

Problem solved.

I disagree. Buy a cheap dehydrator from Wal-Mart. Run the hell outta it. Let it warp and burn out. Then return it to Wal-Mart for a new one. Dehydrators are disposable items IMO.

These have a 10 year warranty.
Pay once, replace as many times as you need in 10 years.
They been running months on end a few times already, no problems. They also dry better and faster than anything else I've seen...
Worth the extra change IMO.

Nah, there is no way to prevent further warping. Those cheap dehydrators are NOT built to last yet are designed to break down in a predetermined amount of time. It's called "Planned obsolete".
Either one of the aforementioned solutions would work. I say, if you plan on being in this hobby for a while to shell out the extra cash for an Excalibur brand dehydrator. They are built to last, and have a lifetime warranty.

What's a common price range for these quality dehydrators?
I was thinking if I took out the heating element or somehow reduced it, it wouldn't warp so fast. I might just end up buying another cheap one once this burns out. I got this one for free from a friend who just found it in their garage.

You need the heat. A dehydrator with no heat is just a fan.
