They're both good to go. Even with a few uncolonized grains (which could simpy be from the grain being pressed against the walls of the glass) you will still be fine as you should be working in a SAB or infront of a flowhood anyway.

I made a cheap glove box and I also do all my work in here

So there's not a lot of air moving around to begin with. Thanks for the input I got grains soaking now and will be ready to sterilize tomorrow
Cheers

Wet grains pressed against the side of the jar?.. no it's bacteria. Properly prepared and colonized spawn has zero wet grains. It should be covered in pure white.
Some use jars with wet grains for g2g with success. I was never one of them.
OP I like your still room, but a glove box? You should have a still air box inside that room. That'd be perfect.

When I say glove box I guess what I mean is a tote with 2 holes shoulder length apart to minimize any air moving when I'm moving around. And on the grains I was excited now I'm bummed out haha
So should I try to gtg or your saying they have bacteria in them

As stated before, your first one looks ace. I'd preferably use that for any g2gs. Your 2nd one is one I would only use for spawn. G2g needs to be clean af. Spawn can have bacteria no problem.

Thanks a lot for the information, I'm learning as I go and I have a lot of patience so it's a great new hobby for me.
Also a question about the gypsum, I couldn't find any powdered only in pellets. I read they are fine as they will dissolve. What I am curious about is if this gypsum is ok

It's fine you can dissolve it and figure out however much you need or throw those pellets in a blender or coffee grinder, get some powder.

I would g2g with the 1st jar and spawn the second to a little coir/verm/gypsum in a small tray or tub. You can make plenty of jars with that first jar and still have leftover grain. Having a couple things going will improve your chances of success.
Also, get rid of the foil on the jars after PC'ing. It serves no purpose and can be a vector for contaminate if your filter is wet.
Best of luck.

So I went ahead and gtg xfered anyways both jars. My p.c can only hold 9 at a time so now have 18 and I think they are taking off pretty good but definitely looking for others imports who have more knowledge then I do.

They seem to be booming and I don't see any funking colors, my temp is at 81-83. Used gypsum when soaking but only have the pellets which I used roughly 1 small pinch per cup of rye berries. Is this ok or would it be better to grind them up myself
