Today it's gonna be mescaline!
    #21862823 - 06/27/15 06:39 AM (8 years, 7 months ago)

Started early this morning with 1 1/2 feet of bridgesii.  Just finished my second of three boils.  Simultaneously performing a reduction of volume on a separate burner.  Hope to have all three boils combined and reduced by 11:00am.  Except for morning coffee I've been fasting since dinner last night at 6:30pm.

Off from work for the next nine days.  If the cactus doesn't do it, can supplement with some vaporized changa.  Hoping today will be epic with little nausea...although the odds are against me.

Thanks, brother!  Now that I'm gulping a mouthful at a time I remember why I do this so infrequently.  Bridgesii tea is simultaneously salty, slimy and as repulsive-tasting as anything you will ever put in your mouth.  Not as bitter an San Pedro, though, so that's a bit of a blessing.

I'm coating my tongue with a peppermint Altoid, then taking a gulp, then putting the Altoid back in my mouth.  A bit more than half is
down.  Ugh...this is such a contest of will.  I'm feeling it already!  Honest!  Must be the empty stomach.

I can't drink the tea anymore. After one time doing it my body just won't let me get it down. I have such a terrible gag reflex, so it's tar or mescaline crystal for me from now on. I really want to try some peyote though.

Mescaline was probably my favorite psychedelic though so I'm jealous. Have  fun!

Yes, I most certainly am doing that.

Just came back from an overly long, far too strenuous hike.  Surprised I can type.  There were places where the air was still and the oppressive smell of GREEN plants brought to mind the taste of the cactus, and man, was it horrible.  And a fresh-cut lawn.  Yuk!

Need to cool down and rest.  Bridgesii is no toy!  This shit is for real.

Not all fun and games, this mescaline!  Audio - buzzing, whistles, whines, and all kinds of adventitious noises.  Tried laying down - and that worked for a while, but not now.  Feel I need to take over breathing for myself instead of having it come naturally.  This is very onerous.  Lots of muscle fasciculations, especially in the large muscle groups such as the quadriceps.  Daylight (even though overcast) seems way too bright.

I ought to be starving, but the mere THOUGHT of food is repulsive.  I may try a single chocolate covered raisin.  I've completely lost track of when I finished off my dose and what to expect going forward.

N.B.

Make yourself purge and the nausea should mostly abate. Also you probably need to be around someone or an animal you feel affectionately towards, imho when you are having a negative trip on mescaline, it's only because the cactus is punishing you for being self absorbed.

We all need more love, and mainly less hate
Hate is the blind that covers the heart's eye
That makes the heart's eye cry
Locked deep away in the skies of our minds

It's all in the mind

Maybe so.  Long past the point of needing/wanting to vomit.  Now just riding out the powerful mental state I'm in while dealing with some really significant involuntary thigh muscle fasciulations.  Feels like an alien is in there trying to squirm around to make itself feel comfortable...kind of like me in my own mind right now.  Feels all squirmy.

Edit:  Just read your sig lines.  Helped me tremendously.  Going to read them again a few times.

When I drank pedro tea, I experienced muscle spasms as well. Also brain zaps as I was trying to sleep.

Nature boy, awesome man, were you tired in any way before you drank the tea? On mescaline you have to have full energy

Well, I'm not a kid anymore.  Not as robust as I used to be by any stretch of the imagination, although I'm still hella strong and fit both mentally and physically.  Seriously beginning to question my ability to do psyches anymore, though.  This has been a rough one...and it's only what...hour 6?

I experienced the same thing about daylight on my last Pedro journey. I had wanted to trip in nature because I find staring at white walls so depressing while tripping but every time I tried going outside, the brightness and heat of the sun felt absolutely overwhelming so I had to stay indoors. I am considering a night trip on Pedro tonight, but this thread isn't helping me feel courageous. Mescaline is weird in that for me it is simultaneously the gentlest and most intense psychedelic. Gentle in that my mind remains clear and thinking intact and most intense in that produces for me the most lasting changes in perception of any psychedelic. I am literally not the same person after mescaline.

I have dosed the same batch of SP cactus on two separate occasions, with the experiences being so different. The first ended up with me absolutely ecstatic walking along a beach on psychedelic rainbows, visible entities, in the beaming sun, just amazing. A little mild nausea but the trip was worth every second of it. Felt amazing afterwards and had full energy throughout the trip, even did some running.

I dosed the same batch in a different setting a couple months later hoping for similar effects. The trip ended up inside with the curtains shut, any sunlight would cause a deep brain ache, I felt like I had a virus circulating my body and completely psychically weak and exhausted, a horrible experience. The mental state was night and day different than the earlier experience.

I was in a bit of a risky life situation at the time of the second trip which may have played a role in the nature of the experience.

Set and setting still play a crucial role even with the gentle giant.

No longer tripping per se, but it's 2am and I STILL can't sleep.

Managed to eat a sliced apple with some peanut butter, and drank a few mouth fulls of lemonade.

Smoke dank weed. Weed and cacti are truly meant for each other
