The ability to block ALL global notices from our account settings? They seem to have become a soapbox for someone who has clearly partied one time too many.

I just wanted to comment on your quote in your signature. It's invalid simply because wealthy people don't work near as much or as "hard" as working classes. Poor rich people. Sigh. They work so gosh darn hard! They drive around in quarter million dollar daily drivers to get their bagel and coffee at a leisurely hour while the rest of the world is busting their ass. You fool. These people have gotten more than they deserve or could possibly expect out of life yet you feel the need to protect them? Don't answer it won't make any sense to real people.

I agree with the sentiment, it's not that hard to just ignore though.
But yeah, generally they're nothing I care about though and they can be a little annoying that they're at the top of every page.

It only takes 2 clicks to hide a thread. I'd rather do that than have them all hidden because there are rare occurrences when I've appreciated the announcement (like when the shroomery got subpoenaed).
Or, just as good, certain staff members with a higher authority can explain to other staff members that global stickies shouldn't be used as their own plaything to announce new user created forums or conversations with god.

That would be equally as good, if not just a touch better.

One shouldn't have to ignore what shouldn't be there in the first place. Cross-posting is against the rules.
Cross-posting inane drivel should be doubly so.

I also found it....odd....that that certain admin does that sort of thing. (was that sentence grammatically correct? "that that")
I mean, a global announcement announcing a new user-created forum????
In the whole scheme of things, I know it's not that big of a deal, but I found it pretty silly that he did that.
