I love mac & cheese! The Kraft shells with the Velveeta cheese packet are my favorite store bought ones. I just cook up half a pound of bacon, crumble it up and throw it in there for some noms.
If I have a bit of time though, I'll make the cheese sauce from scratch using cheddar, havarti, gruyer, and parmesan. It's just blows the store bought stuff out of the water.
What's Annie's? I never heard of them.

I have eaten my fair share of kraft, I used to make bacon mac n cheese pretty often too
All about the custom cheese sauces too, I used to make em super fucking cheesy. Now I just stick with the annies sauce packets becouse I am lazy and they are bomb.
Annies is a relatively health conscious company that makes lots of partly or completely organic food.
Most of their mac has at least organic pasta, and it is still pretty cheap.

Apparently kraft had a recall becouse there was metal in their mac and cheese: Source article

Cheese is one of many small passions of mine lol.
Definitely hit me up with a recipe. I'll make it in the next couple days .
Edit: Are you a cook by any chance? I think I've seen you post about working at a restaurant cooking before, but I might be mistaken.

Yeah there are so many delicious kinds of cheese, smoked Gouda and smoked cheddar are some of my favorites.
Definitely share your recipe, I almost never make it from scratch, maybe the occasional cheesy pasta sauce or something but that's it.

I dunno if things are different up there, but down here, a box of the deluxe stuff isn't really all that much more expensive than the box with the powdered cheese. It's like maybe a dollar more at most.
I don't really like store bought mac and cheese. I make it all the time as a side dish to whatever dinner I'm cooking but only because I'm lazy. I could go the rest of my life without eating it and never miss it though.

Yea, for sure. The cheddar I use in my favorite recipe is actually cheddar flavored kraft singles.

Never seen it. We have two options around here.. Kraft or the store brand of whatever store you're in.

That is very hard to read. I didn't read the onion part right at first. I read "1/4 cup finely chopped yellow cum".

I can read it decently for how small it is in the picture, your handwriting is fine it is just small and hard to read in the photo.
If you take two pics, of the top and bottom half it would be much easier to read and save you the time of typing it all out.

Hello no, this sausage is mango jalapeno and is so bomb. It goes amazingly well with mac and cheese and many other things.
There is tons of ghetto sausage out there though

remove from heat and using an immersion blender (or just a blender or handheld mixer), beat for about 45 sec until cheese and onion are completely blended. the sauce will be think, you can think it out with the pasta water, if needed. season to taste with salt.
ladle the sauce over the pasta and mix well with a rubber spatula. transfer to a deep, 2 quart baking dish and spread the pasta and cheese evenly. sprinkle the 1 2/3 cup coarsely shredded cheddar cheese over the casserole and sprinkle with the bread crumbs.

Mac n cheese is a food of the gods.
I used to make a killer six cheese mac.
Bacon or sausage makes it even better... but mac with a breadbowl is where it's at.

Thank, man. I just printed it out.
As far as the parmesan goes, I only get Parmigiano Reggiano from a little specialty Italian market.
Currently I don't have any but I have some amazing Pecorino. I really like it since it's quite a bit saltier.
Do you think that'll substitute well?

Man, I haven't bought a lobster in years. They're readily available for the taking within swimming distance from the beach.
They've been spawning and/or getting bigger and meatier for the past few months but come July and lobster season opens back up again. It's absolutely crazy when the season starts since their population has been allowed to considerably grow again. They're literally packed in lines of hundreds walking back to the reefs from their spawning grounds.

Those in that picture are all little guys, too small to keep but they lead the way back to the reefs where all the mature ones are at. We do the same thing over here as far as catching them. Just free dive into the reef and find them in their crevices.
We use bang sticks and a netted bag as well to get them but we call them tickle sticks lol. Your version sounds a lot manlier.

Yea on the manly scale it is way up there but not all that effective. A 12 gauge shell on the end of a broomhandle eliminates all the fuss.

Nah, why the hell would I do that?
I spiny lobsters are much larger, have sweeter meat and they're in water that's above 75 degrees year round.
I really do like Maine/Canadian lobsters as well but it's just too damn expensive man. And if I'm not mistaken, not many people actually dive for them. They just set up traps, right?

As far as the parmesan goes, I only get Parmigiano Reggiano from a little specialty Italian market.
Currently I don't have any but I have some amazing Pecorino. I really like it since it's quite a bit saltier.
Do you think that'll substitute well?
awesome man, yeah im sure whatever you put in there will end up tasting great

I used to be addicted to mac and cheese op, i know your pain, but it can be beat.
Idk if you've ever heard of kratom, but it can be used to help wean mac, and smack addicts off the habit. In the case of mac and cheese, i started by mixing 3-4 grams to 4 boxes of m&c(i was eating 4 boxes at a time, 6 times a day, expensive habit i know). Then slowly lower your m&c dosage half a box at a time, while raising kratom dosage 2 grams at a time. I am now completely clean of m&c, and eat three bowls of kratom a day.

Just be careful man, I've lost to many friends to mac. Not literally, just all they do anymore is sit around plugging mac. Its disgusting, it can be used with moderation, but its definitely addicting as fuck and i wouldn't risk it. Just stick to cheese while your ahead.

I love me some hotdog/ sausage mac. I used to hate putting broccoli in but now I try too just to add a bit o veggies and make it a decent meal.
I still pig out on plain mac occasionally though too
This thread just made me realize I need to eat something
Damn hunger, hopefully one day we shall transcend these meat bags and have no need for nourishment or sleep or all the other physical needs we have to deal with.
'Twill be glorious.

I just ordered 8 oz. Red vein thai. Super stoked. Finally got around to ordering it, had trouble getting billing setup with debit card, been buying it at a head shop.23$ an oz. What a joke. I should just sling it outside the headshops.

What a joke indeed.
I spend maybe 20-30$ on headshop kratom when I had extra money then said fuck this and have never gone back.
Smart idea, I have considered trying to sell to headshops and convince them to use more reasonable prices.

I meant scalping customers outside of headshops. I'm sure the shops have special deals we couldn't beat, buying in stupid bulk, but who knows maybe it is that easy.
I like bc's comment in another thread, said he was selling it on craigslist, but idk feel like you could still get charged with selling a look alike substance or some bullshit like that. Idk probly just stick to selling dime bags of mac to suckers like op.
