Plates
    #21861030 - 06/26/15 05:46 PM (9 years, 6 months ago)

What's up with these 2 plates. The first is GT and the second is APE

What's up with the first plate at 2oclock? The mycelium all of a sudden thickens up. It has gotten no temp swings

The second bi-plate is APE and the mofo is growing veins.

Would it be safe to assume taking a transfer from these spots would result in the fastest mycelium? They are mm's ahead

I cant say anything for sure about plate 2
but the 2 o clock stuff on plate 1 sure looks like mold to me.

I like the look of 10 o'clock on plate 1! and 7..

Do you see the spot I'm talking about though where the rhizomorphic growth at 2-3oclock all of a sudden thickens?

I'm not talking about the fuzzy between 12-2

could be an uneven mixture of nutrients in the agar maybe?

I know when i make my slants, usually at least a few have some sediment on the bottom from it separating while the mix cools.

both plates look fine to me

I've had weird growth like that and everything ended up normal after a transfer

yeah where it looks much darker? kinda like it does at 10 too?
I just figure that's thick growth, tons of strands together..

I see that a lot when transferring to a different medium or when cloning. I think it just takes some time for the mycelium to adapt to the new substrate.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. I've never seen that and don't know what would account for it
