First monotub.. questions

Hi there, I recently spawned to a 52 quart monotub, my first mono. I spawned 4 grains jars to a coir, verm, hpoo, gypsum, and zoo poo mix. The tub is on its fifth day of colonizing and I'm starting to worry that there might be too much water building up on the sides where condensation has ran down the tub. I have all 6 holes taped and the lid wobbles pretty easily so i figured it could get enough GE through it. I tried my best to get decent pictures so you guys could check it out. Still a noob at this, any advice appreciated. On to the questions.
1. Does it look like there is to much water on the lower part of the tub or am i being paranoid? I tried looking this up but it seemed like everyone took their pics down, so i had nothing to compare mine to. If it does what would be the way to get it out..drain it? 2. Would wrapping the outside of the tub with black tape help with side pinning if i make it to fruiting, since i didn't use a liner? 3. I have 14w daylight 5000k cfl right now, was wondering if getting a 6500k light would be worth it.

Thanks for looking.

1. Looks fine 2. Wrapping the outside would not help from my understanding. You need a black liner like a thick trash bag to line the inside of your tub to prevent side pinning. 3. I fruit mine in natural sunlight so I don't have any advice to offer you on that.
You can check out my sig too for monotub tek

Okay that water had me worried. Guess i will just deal with side pins this time then, will have to make sure to get some of the flex fits bags next go around. Thanks for your input.

I just used a regular black garbage bag. It also helped with the condensation....water got trapped under the bag, I did eventually have to drill a hole in the bottom of the tub to drain it (sub probably started off too wet haha). I also use daylight.....worked great
Good luck man.

Best way to learn. You got this far, which from my understanding is the hardest part. I am sure you will get great results still....just easier to harvest with the liner lol. I would say side pins taste the same haha.

Liner need not be black, to stop side pins. In fact, clear offeres the advantage of being able to monitor the colonization of all 6 sides of the sub, instead of just the top surface.

I use clear garbage bags as liners. Light is secondary as a pinning trigger, it is more important for cap development and alignment in early stages before the cap opens.
When I didn't use a liner though I got mad side pins as the sub shrank and made a nice environment on the sides.

side pins are a bitch, but not the end of the world. If you can keep the surface happy with the water beads everywhere or glistening wet, you'll get lots of surface pins even without a liner. That's always been my experience.
