You're looking for the Mushroom Hunting and Identification forum, and the rules posted at the top of the forum and include a link to this list: http://www.shroomery.org/8461/Which-psilocybin-mushrooms-grow-wild-in-my-area
You're in a high desert - not the ideal climate for mushroom hunting, but you should be able to find Panaeolus cinctulus on lush green lawns in the wealthier neighborhoods and maybe on horse dung after heavy rains. If you get lucky you might find active Gymnopilus mushrooms at higher elevations later in the summer.

Damn brotha that sucks! I was looking forward to finding something in those big beautiful mountains. I guess I will just have to try to inquire it other ways/places. Just moved up from NM so things are certainly different. So far it's a nice change of pace though. And there's a Dions up here which is legit as fuck, they came from Albuquerque so it's a little bit of home that was brought up here for me.

Where would you consider the wealthy areas? Who would've known? I thought for sure with all this rain and what not it would've been somewhat easy.

It is just have to be dedicated and persistent. Plus that feeling you get when you get actives for the first time.

Monument is the richest area in the Springs area. They are not going to take kindly to you wandering their property though. The Springs has a huge conservative slant and with it come the crazy gun nuts.

Yeah man I've noticed, no offense but some of these Coloradians are real A-holes. I kinda get the vibe of, "I'm better than you". Obviously not from everyone, but from a few. Oh well! It really must suck to live with that mindset. How do you manage to make friends?

Fountain has a ton of sodded lawns up on the Mesa where the new houses were built.
