To make a spore syringe from a print of Psilocybe Hispanica I scraped the spores into about 30CC of sterilized water in a 1/4 pint jar. I have since used that water for a few inoculations... no problems. I checked the jar yesterday and found that the spores had germinated in the water and made a mat of purple myc! I checked the syringe ... it also has germinated spores / myc in it but not purple. Now I really want to suck up some of this purple myc and see what it looks like growing out on agar!

I was afraid of that. Anyone have any comparison pics of vert on mea versus cube myc? I must be missing something.
vert is top left, healthy cube is bottom, both on one plate is top right

gymnopolis dilepis pins:

Thank you.
I need to go through and more closely examine all of my plates. I think I'm having a hard time distinguishing vert from tomentose cube myc.
Gets even harder when they're all intertwined

lol good shit
by the way I just yielded 91.7 grams wet from the 3rd flush, im dunking the cakes right now and will remove them in the morning.
I guess with my next round of cakes I will dunk them after the first flush, I just have to pay more attention to the pins coming in and try to pic the fruits at the closest time to where I can immediately dunk them, and start the next flush. That saucer trick is BADASS
im also birthing my next 6 cakes tomorrow, and will start my log for them to get more advice.

Just pulled a few out of my first tub of a new PE culture I'm running with... I've dubbed this culture "Tyrannosaurus Dix" for obvious reasons. Almost as if someone slipped a few big dick pills into my substrate...

No... You can't print them because they won't drop the spores; although, running a sterile swab through the gills works just fine to extract them.

Regardless how far the cap is open, they don't drop. PE never do IME.
You would have to smear a cap across foil to get spores on it, which I have done before.

PE can certainly drop prints, they're just not likely too.
That's why everyone takes the easier and quicker route and swab em lol

Me, no. But I know stonesun and others have worked with PE prints.
I don't know the chances of it happening, I've just seen a few get lucky.
