Wednesdays fungi fotos
    #2185748 - 12/17/03 06:28 PM (12 years, 11 months ago)

So I got around to doing some hunting again this morning, here's a few pics I took

oooooh, sneaky

heh, this is from last week, I just thought it was a strange thing to see, so I figured I'd post it.  Looks like this spot isn't just popular with the shroomers...  No, they weren't picked btw :smirk:.

Even came across some Agaricus augustus, very strange to see them coming up in mid December

Always a pleasure to see your pics. When you headin back east? I think I'll be outta here soon but I just found a sweet spot with more pins than I know #'s for, so if you're here for awhile you got it.

Peace -@cro

The third pic down what are they? Are they active, i have seen lots of them growing in small bunches and look something like that growing on a local baseball field on decomposed goose turds. I took one as a samle a whil back but it got crushed beyond recognition. But those look like wood shrooms or are they growing through the wood? What region do they grow in? Thanks!

The first 5 pics are all Psilocybe cyanescens.  They're growing on wood mulch in the PNW.

Suntzu, I wasn't able to get decent specimens from my patch of choice :frown: .  I did get a few smaller ones from there to try it with, but it was hard to get a nice sized piece of tissue from them.  Also tried it with some from another place and the A. augustus.  Got them on agar now, but it's too soon to tell.  I have a few pretty nice fresh ones around now if you want some clone material  .
