Hey guys
I am starting to get into teas and learning about all the different varieties etc. Fuck Coffee. Messes with me. Anyways, i just started drinking Bigelow classic green tea with a touch of honey. Thinking about making this a daily habit.
I also have some chaga and reishi at home to brew if I desire. Not sure if I'm overloading on antioxidants... like if I were to alternate between the 3 everyday? Anyone else have tea experience?

I wouldnt say I have tea experience but I do make my own tea with various fruits and herbs and a dehydrator. I'm not sure if you can over load on antioxidants, wouldn't your body just not use what it didn't need?, or is that bad too? Idk. But when I started I just added fruits and herbs to bags of different kinds of tea. I started with pre bagged teas you know are good like green and earl grey and then i just added dry pieces of different stuff on different days. I looked up what different herbs do what when drank in teas and stuff like that. I cant remember exactly but there's basically three kinds of most teas. White, grey and black. Each one better for different things I guess. Now I have tupperware containers of dry raw ingredients and I just mash whatever I feel like into my tea pot and boil away. There's also different ways to prepare tea that make more or less healthy so to speak depending on your ingredients. I like to listen to the Chinese on tea. They know there shit.

Contemplating the whole "chosen people" thing with just a flaming stealth banana split the sky like one would hope but never really expect to see in a place like this. Cutting right angle donuts on a dime and stopping right at my Birkenstocks, and me yelping... Holy fucking shit!

I like a jasmine green, get the pearls as the leaf is higher quality. Oolongs are good too. Both have a pretty good caffeine content and will perk you up. Mate is good for a pick-up but the taste isn't great. Pue erh is smooth and full of antioxidants but lower in caffeine and less flavorful. I drink kava tea at night to chill out before bed.
If you want to give coffee a second chance, get a french press and buy fresh ground light roast, something low acid, I like a Kenya or Sulawesi Toraja, stay away from Colombian and all the dark roast french and italian kinds. Drinking over-roasted high acid coffee every day will turn anybody's stomach inside out. Good coffee tastes good, has a nice caffeine buzz and is chock full of healthful antioxidants. Give it a second chance.

Chaga or reishi anyone? I'm mostly looking for a healthy daily drink. May just stick with green tea. And chaga/reishi every now and then

Get a good quality green tea and some rich antioxidant fruits vegetables and herbs and mix them based on your needs on a daily basis. You can google what different fruits and herbs do for you.

I drink allot of herbal tea. Traditional Medicinal is a great brand with JUST herbs. I also buy "Davidsons" from Amazon in bulk. You can get a POUND of tea for like $15.
I drink black tea, Chamomile, Tulsi, and Red Tea at the moment

Pu-erh style is the best, but I enjoy others when I am more frugal.

For daily teas I recommend Japanese green teas. Less polluted growing environment and less flouride vs. Chinese greens.
For a good company on ebay to get Japanese green tea from I recommend Ryu-Mei. I recommend their summer grade Matcha. 12$ for 3.5oz.
And sencha with matcha (they will accept lower offer on this tea).
Also check out yunomi tea website
They have deals on shipping and things pretty often and a nice selection of teas.
And for energy I highly recommend Guayusa. It has high caffeine content, l-theanine, and a bunch of other alkaloids that provide a clear, clean stimulating effect. Runa guayusa 1lb bag on amazon for 18$.

Green tea, Darjeeling tea and valerian (if I can get it cheap) are my regulars. After Darjeeling I never went back to normal black tea. So good
