brown/black spot on mycelium on bulk substrate

Long time lurker, first time poster, and of course my first contribution is "help! what is this thing??" My apologies and I hope to be actually active from here on out!
So I have what I would consider a 100% colonized bulk substrate of coir/verm/gypsum/coffee that I plan on putting in fruiting conditions tomorrow. Took a peek at it tonight for the first time in days and found these two little spots which I can't identify. Cut them out and they looked somewhat like dirt or even coffee clumps, not that either really make sense?
My research using the search function tells me they're likely clumps of spores, but I don't exactly understand how. Anyone who has some wisdom about this is going to go straight on my "beloved sage" list.

The DOOM! I'm not sure whether or not I'm surprised it isn't more common? It seems TRICH is the common fun killer around here.

Ah! My mistake. Each of the two dots were about 1/4" in diameter.
The bulk sub is in a 66 qt monotub, so I'm not terribly worried about these guys overpowering a large amount of healthy looking and smelling mycelium. More curious than anything.

I believe it to be a mold, yes those are spores. Tosss it very far away, or better yet, burn it all.
Ive had aspergillus niger. Not too harmful, but turns into a dark spore cloud pretty fucking easy.

Yup, I'd say that's exactly what it is. Thanks for the help blojo!
Honestly, everything seems fine for now, no more of these little spots popping up. Tub is currently in fruiting conditions, so I guess we'll see where it goes from here.

should spray that area with straight bleech.
or chlorine dioxide if you are lucky enough to have some sodium chlorite on hand.

Just keep an eye on it, but if it appears that it starts growing/getting out of control, for your safety, you should get rid of it.
Isnt black mold dangerous to the lungs? (obviously a tiny speck, as long as you dont inhale it, shouldnt be a problem IMO)

Yea id say spray it with some sort of bleach or Isopropyl Alcohol, make sure when doing so you dont shoot that shit into the air.
