No. Blenders and food processors are no good for that type of job. Them motors burn up very easily. You would litterally be buying a new blender every few days.

I'm sure running a square bale of straw through a blender would take forever.

I have used a blower/vac. Works good but straw needs run thru twice. Can be messy too.

If I didn't have access to dust free preshredded straw. I would definitely buy a chipper/shresder.

The farm store here has half bales of hay already chopped up for $10. Your suppose to put it on the lawn and water it daily and it makes your lawn grow back. Of course, I'd rather not pay for anything
