how deep should they be buried?
Will this also work for spent trays?
Do you break up your myc first or just bury is whole?

You need to bury them about 8 ft. It will only work with trays if you bury them at the base of a waterfall.
Of course it will work with a tray

leave an inch or so of dirt over the cakes. i like to snap the cakes in half and get more surface area for pins to start. i haven't buried a tray yet but i would imagine it does work. probably would produce huge mushies.

look, comments from the peanut gallery.
this hasn't been the only time in which pasty acts extremely egotistical. This time I decided to speak up.

Ummm sounds like someone needs to pull the ol stick outta their ass. Maybe I laugh at people, I also laugh at myself. Jesus its just the internets, I am pretty sure I haven't driven anyone to suicide or nothing
Also at least I know better than to bring up stoopid shit that is actually against the damn rules. So instead of hitting the whistle I made a "snarky" post. Perhaps you should stop posting dumb shit. Its not like I told you to "fuck off to the pub".

I can't understand why so few people grow outside during the summer. I've been lucky enough to have had access to aged horse manure but that can't be the only thing that works.
Lots of people have used Black Kow and Bovung composted manure in tubs successfully. They're too gooey to use straight outdoors but some coir/verm/(perlite?) could fix that. You would be surprised how much cubes love the great outdoors.
I did my last outdoor grow to "prove" to my buddy that you couldn't grow cubes outdoors in NY state. It turned out that I was wrong:
That was the best crow I ever tasted.
