what does the word "spirituality" mean to you?

To me, the term spirituality refers to how one fits into the universe (or multiverse ). A person or people with a higher degree of spirituality can be said to be more intimately tied to the workings of nature, or even to those beyond nature, potentially.
How about you?

That's an excellent description, and true, I would say, from what my experience has shown.
One might say an exploration of harmony. Or at its most simple, an investigation of what is - we are at rest in space.

i think there's many qualities which could be considered spiritual including the ones mentioned already
i would also add - knowledge of one's own being, love of oneself and others, and acceptance of one's experience on a moment-by-moment basis

Excellent points by both of you, especially that of acceptance, which is of course of paramount importance for the health and proper functioning of any and every human being.

To me it means to be authentic, transparent..... To see your life story as it is, and not cry about it or want to change it, but to use your story as a platform for learning and progressing and transforming into a lighter, kinder human being. Spirituality is taking this environment of life we're stuck with and using it to spiral outwards, become more intelligent, kind, helpful, and healing to ourselves and others.
-------------------- Everything is better than it was the last time. I'm good. If we could look into each others hearts, and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance, and care. It takes a lot of courage to go out there and radiate your essence. I know you scared, you should ask us if we scared too. If you was there, and we just knew you cared too.

I would agree and would go so far as to argue that those 'workings of nature' include a realm populated by spirits/entities and their on-goings subtle or not. The spiritual realm. Contact with this realm of interaction is what I would consider a spiritual pursuit or a pursuit of spirits, spirituality, and seems to be either an experience of symbiosis or parasitism. These breakthroughs permanent or not can come through even a lack of discipline so don't quite measure up as 'spiritual' to some who maintain spirituality is had at following certain doctrines of possibly faith or instruction. All paths possibly being relevant... It seems to me that these are preparatory and guidelines to be used in the midst of contact with such chaos.

Very nice light, FishOil. I really appreciated that.
And CJ, you reminded me of a description of the guru - said to be transparent, so the light of the divine shines through.

It means a sense of wonder removed from Dogma. A sense of universal presence.

Spirituality denotes Spirit, the third aspect of human beinghood that expresses the most essential aspect of our tripartite nature as Spirit, Soul (Psyche), and Body (Soma). Spirit is who/what we are essentially, in our essence. We are Spirit having a human experience, not humans having spiritual experiences.
