When do I harvest these seeds?

I posted this pic in my veggie garden thread but I got ne replies so I thought I'd make a new thread for it.

I noticed this fruit a couple days ago but I don't know how to harvest these or when is best.
Do I harvest while the fruit is plump like this or do I wait till it shrivels up and dries?

best to wait for the fruit to shrivel, then you can just crumble the dried fruit.

Wait at least until it starts to dry. This will take longer than with say loph fruits.

Just harvested the seed in the OP pic. It seemed dry but still had a lil moisture and I hardly got anything from it and they were beige as well.
How do all you guys harvest Loph seeds?
Also do you guys think these white wooly balls are seed pods BTW?

Mammillaria seeds come in very different shapes and colours.

No, they're buds. You'll have plenty of very nice big white nocturnal flowers pretty soon.

Cool seed pod dude!
I harvest my loph seeds when they loosen up at the base after a few days. They tend to slip out easier. If I leave them on the plant the pods shrivel up and dry out after a few weeks and are much easier to remove. I like to remove them earlier because the sweet pods attract insects.
Every day I harvest a few pods and collect them in a bowl and when they dry out I'll remove the seeds.
