MPa can be converted to psi. http://www.tiniusolsen.com/resource-center/mpa-psi.html
Adjust heat to operate at desired pressure? Can you give us ANY info on volume or even just the physical dimensions?
Not sure I understand your question entirely?

volume is 20 liters. and there is no heat control.. its just a on and off button.. the safety valve opens at .165 MPa and stops at .15.. that's it
there ae two screws in the safety valve that i tied all the way and removed completely with no change whatsoever.
now i am afraid that i might have messed up some sort of calibration and i can't get the thing to work at .12 MPa which is my target pressure with the substrate.. not sure how this will affect the substrate

ok. if the heating element is built in and you have damaged the safety valve, modifying the unit to increase operating pressure is not going to be the safest thing to do. I wouldn't recommend even testing this thing if the components are not sound. That said.....
Someone else should jump in because it appears either my math or his math is off.... .165Mpa= 23.931220500000002psi .15Mpa= 21.755655psi .125Mpa= 18.1297125psi
If that little guy is truly running at those pressures then you are well over the minimum for this hobby.
After you adjusted the screws, what is the maximum pressure it will run at? How much water are you adding to the unit?

ok, took the thing apart.. those screws are to keep some other adjustment screws inside from moving.. I now understand how the thing works and I messed with the screws accordingly.. doing a test run now to determine the new settings.. will increase and decrease accordingly until I get it right.. then lock the valve in the new settings.. the thing has about a gallon of water.. so that's good..
the lack of manual sucks though.. will post pics if i live to tell the tale any tips ?
thing runs till .165 ...safety valve opens ... pressure goes down to .150.. keeps quiet and repeats again at .165
the first test run : valve opens but not fully at .105 .. keeps increasing but slower and with the steam leak increasing until it reaches .13 and stays there..with lots of steam escaping..
the pressures are better but the constant sound is crap.. any pointers on how to calibrate this piece of undocumented shit is appreciated.

Yikes. I'd shit can that thing and replace it with something thats not a bomb about to go off. A TC or someone who has had success modifying a pressure vessel could help you out, but it's not the safest thing.
.105MPa= 15.2289585psi
So you are right in the ballpark, but there is a reason its not reaching the pressure it was before you adjusted the components. Fluctuating pressures with a ton of steam being released is not good. Especially it it were to vent at the end and boil the water in your jars rapidly.

Are you lowering the heat once pressure is reached? It doesnt take a whole bunch to keep it going...

second test run.. i was able to make the sound less constant and adjust the pressure to .1 and .08 so will up the pressure and try to narrow the range.. the shroomery manual for 20L 200USD autoclaves will come soon...
yes it does have a gasket
the operating pressure the vessel is rated for is .165 MPa..
i want to lower it to stay within the norm that I am used to and not to caramelize my LCs
the vessel is stainless steel and will take a beating.. now onto creating a temperature control knob and timer..
3rd test steams hard at .125 and stops at .115 .. satisfactory enough for me although the pressure is a little high.. but I can sterilize tons of substrate compared to my little pressure cooker.. 3 or 4 times the size ..
this btw is actually used in dental clinics here.. I bought it from a medical equipment shop
