Help ID-ing needed from Massachusetts
    #21847903 - 06/23/15 09:29 PM (8 years, 9 months ago)

Found these mostly in the grass in Massachusetts. Look possibly like something interesting but I have no idea. Three different types.

Mix of Panaeolina foenisecii and Agrocybe pediades. Both species very common in lawns in the summer.

What about the one third from the left on top? I think you're correct about the other two, so your thoughts would be much appreciated on that one as well.

Not the same. Notice the veil remnants on the cap margin and the floccose stem.
Try to find a mature specimen of these and take pictures in situ.

The other one in the third pic from the left on my initial post was growing right next to those.

I'll be honest, I'm learning that I know nothing about wild mushrooms.

Is this...:

In that case it is probably the same species.

You stated that all in your first post were growing from grass.

Always important to describe (and photograph) habitat and substrate.

Young mushrooms are generally harder to determine than mature ones.

Yes, they are the same ones and were found in the location pictured.

Thanks for your help. Any thoughts as to what they might be?

Let them mature, then take new pictures and a spore print.
