Grain LC Mycelium From Fridge to Ambient Turned Dark

6 days ago I made a 30cc grain LC from a small master jar of Tampanensis on oats. The master appeared very healthy and had plenty of sclerotia formed. I then placed the lc syringe in my mini fridge for storage. Last night I removed the syringe from the fridge so that it could come back to room temp for use today. I inspected it as soon as I took it out of the fridge and it looked completely normal. Today, while using it to noc up some quart jars, I got 3 jars in when I noticed that the mycelium in the syringe had turned very dark. It looks exactly like a spore syringe does when the spores clump together. I immediately stopped using it and la bled the three jars as possibly contaminated and continued with a different lc.
Has anyone experienced a color change from refrigeration to ambient temps like this? I am assuming that the cold to ambient temp change shocked the mycelium. Otherwise I may have a contaminant that looks like blackened mycelium. The water its self is perfectly clear still.
I am a bit disappointed but mostly curious as to what this is.

That is kind of what I'm thinking. I will keep the three jars I inoculated and the remainder of the syringe for observation. If the syringe starts to regenerate healthy looking mycelium again I will feel a whole lot better about the whole thing.

I just want to bump this once for the evening crowd. Maybe someone else has had this experience.

I've had it happen with slurried Cube clones. I suspect its just bruising that is more noticeable because its in the water. It didn't affect the success of the grow though.

UPDATE:
It has been 5 days since my original post. The three jars that I inoculated look pretty healthy with only what appears to be nice mycelium growth. The syringe has also generated quite a bit of new healthy looking mycelium. However, the dark colored mycelium is still present. As of now it appears the the GLC in the syringe was just bruised by the cold and/or sudden temperature change.
I am still keeping the jars and syringe segregated just in case something pops up but I am feeling much better about the situation now.
