How do I prepare horse manure for pan cyans?

Hey everybody, I have attempted pan cyans twice with complete failure besides two jars which may have stalled out. I have some pan cyan Hawaiians coming in the mail today and was wondering how do I prepare horse manure for the jars? And would a 1:1:1:1 ratio be sufficient?

And then I would crumble and case the cakes. But how do I prepare the horse manure?

Field capacity is key, and imo determines the success far more than pasteurization/sterilization. For cakes just sterilize like how you would for pftek. For bulk I use:

So I do not need to do anything special to the horse manure before I load the mix of 1:1:1:1 verm, flour, manure, water? Just make sure the whole substrate mix is at field capacity? Also is tap water fine?

Personally, I prefer not to incriminate myself.

I soak my manure in water while making up my normal ratio BRF cakes. Then squeeze out all the moisture from the manure by handfuls. Add about an 1/4 cup maybe a bit less. I do a small handful to each half pint. Then proceeded as usual.
I like adding manure as it really helps speed things up with them but I dont fruit directly from the container itself. I use them as spawn and they work great , usually done in rwo weeks in warmer weather. Then they go to straw and Vermiculite. Im in the process of spawning to straw shortly again but into a mono this time instead of trays.
Oh the straw is soaked in manure water and whatever I have left for manure goes into the pot when pasteurized. Not much though as ive had trouble fruiting pans with a nute rich substrate so I always stick with plain straw and they fruit easy.

Thanks everyone for the posts. I'm thinking of crumbling and casing them. What should I case them with?

I would recommend a 50/50 peat moss/coco coir or even peat moss alone will do the trick. If you have access to garden lime (calcium carbonate) you can add it in the ratio 1:10 for better results. Mix water with it till its moist and you can squeeze just a couple drops out of the mixture. Don't want it to wet to avoid contams. You can pastuerize if you want but its kind of unnecessary. I would just put throw it in the oven till steaming hot or even the microwave will do the trick.
There are other casing teks you can try but that's what I would reccomend.

I forgot to mention. The casing layer should really only be about a half inch deep or even less. If you find that the myc starts to overlay the casing layer simply add thin layers to the spot/spots that are growing faster. It helps get a more even flush all across as opposed to only getting pins in certain spots.
Good luck to ya!

Also, I am going out to my friends barn that he works at to get this horse manure and he said there are a lot of mushrooms growing that look like pan cyans. I was wondering if I upload pictures could anyone identify them without a doubt for me?

Well I'm pretty decent at identification of pans, but for the real experts hit up the hunting and identification forum.
