2nd Flush Dunking

hey all, I need to know if I can dunk these cakes, the pins have matured almost fully on most of the cakes and on a couple cakes they are about halfway. I need to know if I can dunk them without harming the fruits, or if I should just wait for them to grow and then re dunk. As you can see they are really dry.
Please let me know what you think I should do, thanks

forgot to mention, I was thinking a bout picking the ones that are almost ready and then dunking the rest.
also if there are pin aborts should I remove them before or after the dunk
also, should I fully submerge with a weight on top or let them float in the water?

What the fuck are you talking about. Mushrooms are 90% water.
Are you trolling?

Mushrooms need a high humidity- you should have a smaller enclosure if you are only fruiting a single cake.

I have 5 half pint cakes and I know they need water, the pins grew so fast between the 1st and 2nd I didn't want to risk aborting.
have 24.2g dried from the first 2 flushes, more pins still popping up after I dunked them yesterday, I don't care if that's a shit yield for 5 cakes on my first time im happy with it.
I know.

If you were implying the mushrooms would abort if you dunked, then that would be incorrect. Mushrooms are roughly 90% water. Them being soaked in water for awhile isn't going to hurt.
And if you don't care, then why make a post seeking advice?

I asked for advice on dunking the cakes, not your opinion if a yield is shit or not.

Come on guys. I don't think Buck was doing anything but trying to help.
The pictures you posted are so just kind of shocking due to how dehydrated they actually are, that's the worst I've seen, and how you even got to the fruiting stage not knowing mushrooms need water. I'm not trying to hate but we're all just here to help. Anyways..
Some of those shrooms look like they are only a day away from being ready to be picked. Let them grow til their veils start to tear and pick them. Once there are only pins left then dunk the cake.

I agree with buck though. Dunking really shouldn't abort cakes. Being too dry will cause more aborts. They need a heavy misting. Like what you did way before haha. First flush doesn't need as much misting, but subsequent flushes benefit more with heavy misting. They're probably going to stay blue though. They look very blue. Just keep them hydrated and it'll be fine.

yup, they cleared up from the 24hr dunk(not all the way, but you can see white again) I just did and ive also been misting more than normal, seems to be helping, and they are still pinning as well.
the reason I didn't dunk after the first flush is that when the fruits were done the new pins matured in literally 1 - 2 days, not giving me time to dunk after I picked the old fruits off.
bout to start my log for my mexi-cubs, keep an eye out for it mad im sure ill have more questions needing answered.
