Training day. I give it five bags of popcorn, and five cups of coffee.(to help you sober up and calm your nerves after denzel gets you hopped up on pcp)
When i was a kid i thought it was the greatest movie ever. Then around 13-14 i thought it was pretty stupid up until when netflix added it recently. Really enjoyed it after i grew to be a cop hating piece of shit criminal.
Hey op i know you said you watch on cinema at the cinema, are you as excited for me if they do the oscar coverage this year? I swear to god they do the funniest oscar coverage ever. I about died when tim put his number on the screen for the world to see. (Even more when i called the number to find the voicemail was full months after, then eventually it got disconnected )
Then the whole james dean bit.
Tim heidecker is known for hiring people off craigslist and right off the street, i can't help but feel like the guy who played james dean was a legit crazy who honestly thinks he's really james dean.

Nightmares (1983)
8/10
Movie has been out of print for years but it's now on Blu Ray. The image quality could be better though.
It contains four episodes, and as the name suggests they're horror stories. The second episode "The Bishop of Battle" is my favorite tho it's not particularly scary, and then the last one about a giant rat. (The special effects are laughably bad near the end however, even for 1983)

10/10- "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid"
I was peaking on ~6 hits so I need to re-watch it without all the extras.
But, seriously what a classic. It reminded me a lot of "The City of Gods" which is filmed in a very similar manor and a similar premise. I also watched that one on ~5 hits and 86 grams wet of those wild Floridian cubes... Shit that movie was DEEP... Im 99.999% sure for the duration of the whole movie if you pay attention closely you will learn a ton about life... Theres so many hidden secrets including alien sounds, demons, and all sorts of weird stuff... Im 1000% opposed to believing that it was the drugs. I need to watch it sober though to confirm my suspicions..
Both were kinda hard to see though.... given these tabs have been EC confirmed at 119ug XD

I'm watching The Village right now. I really do think it was an underrated film. It shouldn't have been marketed as a horror film at all, and I guess whoever did the creature design made some questionable choices - but I think it's an interesting film and it has a really pretty score

Lucy 3/10
I'll give it a few points because of Scarlett alone. But outside of her though, freaking terrible. Just terrible.
I mean the story and some of the scenes had some potential -- but the director's sheer ineptitude squashed any that it may have had. That dude should have a restraining order put against him and not allowed within a thousand yards of a film set ever again. Yikes. The chick turned into a blobby computer at the end for fuck's sake.

I think I saw that on Netflix, with the dude from Workaholics as the drug dealer (the one they sell too)? I agree it was pretty good I'd give it something like an 8/10 too I think. I like that they used silk road and everything haha.
I watched Olympus Has Fallen on TNT the other night. I was judging it to see if the new London one would be worth watching. I thought it started kind of slow but once I got into it I thought it was pretty badass. Maybe an 8.5/10.

I hated Dope. 4/10 at best. Seems like the aim was to make a culturally relevant movie about race and hip hop in my generation but they completely missed the mark imo.
Last movie I saw was Forgetting Sarah Marshall, 7/10

Edge of Tomorrow
6/10
The concept was really cool, and it was unexpectedly really funny at times, but man, too much special effects were going on. I mean I like my fair share of special effects at times if they're done well (and with good timing), but in the war scenes (and there were a ton of them), I couldn't even really tell what was going on. Sometimes less is more.
Oh yeah, and that Emily Blunt chick was on fire in that movie. It's amazing too because she was so incredibly plain jane & average looking in Sicario. It was like I was looking at a different person almost.

John wick 2/10
Today's version of a western. Dude loses his wife, people steal his car and kill his dog. So naturally, the guy goes on a rampage, killing everybody on the way to the original guy that fd him over. Keanu fills the role perfectly of deadpan emotionless acting to appear like a ruthless badass. Cheesy movie, bad acting, terrible premise. I feel like I was robbed just for watching this crap. The room is better.

Forest Gump, 10/10 Certainly not the first time I've seen the movie, but it had been a while. Best thing about it IMO is that it literally hits you with every strong emotion you can think of throughout the film since it covers such a wide spread of someones life. I feel most memoir type movies I have seen rarely have such a solid spectrum of feels.
Wow, I had typed 'Forester' Gump, I drive a Forester...
