I'm not sure what you mean by collage, it's like a mash-up of sci fi and fantasy. It's not really very good in the sense of characterization or plot, but it's entertaining in its ridiculousness. Also it's cool visually and music wise. Plus there are a lot of wtf moments that are fun.

pretty much what you just said is what i mean by collage. alot of throwing at a wall and seeing what sticks...and usually that denotes to a shitty thing, but sometimes, hey it works. and i love those kinda movies, especially.

Haha indeed. That's what's going on here. I don't know what the hell John Huston was doing. This is the same year he made Wise Blood, so it's not like he went crazy or something.

Agreed! One ov the worst movies i ever saw but i could'nt turn away. The soundtrack is absolutely awful! I only watched that because Sam Peckinpah had a tiny role in it but you do'nt even see him outside ov shadow as he was allegedly too fucked up during filming. Who could'nt get fucked up making that mess?

Birdman 9/10
Dude. What a wildly different film.
The concept is bizarre. It's like a parody of sorts on Michael Keaton's life -- his character is a way past his prime actor who was once the star of an iconic superhero movie (in the movie character's case, "Birdman", and in Keaton's real life case, Batman), who is now trying desperately to survive the cut throat world of Broadway to stay relevant.
Technically it's one of the more amazing films I've ever seen, as it's filmed in a manner to make it feel as if the entire movie is done in one single sweeping shot (and take). The scenes are all done in tracking shots so you feel as if you're hovering behind the characters for the entire film.
It's a really immersive, atmospheric film. I know the plot sounds out there and uninteresting, but for real, give it a shot. It's hilarious, dramatic, witty, and visually stunning. The acting skill on display is also about as good as it gets. Just sit back & immerse yourself.
Also costars Ed Norton & Emma Stone. Won the Academy Award for Best Picture.

I'd give "Inner Demons" a 5 out of 10. It wasn't scary, but the story was very good. There were a few cheap jump scare attempts, but if you watch a lot of horror films you're just going to roll your eyes.
@SteveRogers- I need to check out "They Live." I've never watched it, but it was referenced in Slavoj Zizeck's "The Pervert's Guide..." so I should definitely check it out. Thanks for the rating.

I just watched this as well. 9/10 is a good rating for it I would agree. It was really interesting how they filmed it to be felt like it was all one shot. I feel like this is key to keeping people immersed in the film considering the plot.
Also watched...
John Wick 7/10
Thought this was a decent action film. Not much character background or character building throughout the movie along with minimal dialogue, pure action. Which I kind of liked. And the action scenes are smooth.

Watched "Birdman" on Netflix last night. I dunno, 7/10. Pretty funny and surreal.
