So what do you think goes in Alfredo pasta, speaking of the original Italian version that omits the cream and only uses butter and parmesan of course.

yeah, there's tons of recipes out there if you're interested. I usually just grab a cliff bar to go though, my body doesn't do so great with butter, milk, or cheese.
you can use coconut oil too I have read, buy have not tried it

This brand is pretty good for boxed macaroni. I usually start with butter if I'm making cheese sauce from scratch, may have used bacon fat at some point. Chicken broth is good in cheese sauce too.
