Is it normal?

So 99% of the time I case my trays. This time I ran out so I just placed it in the FC as is.
Whenever I mist it, its like the myc just goes away. After every little mist it seems as though the tray goes from being completely white to just 20% white. It hasn't recovered.
Is it normal? Should I wait for the myc to recover before misting again or just mist lightly as usual? Whats the deal?
thanks

Sounds bad. The myc shouldn't retreat unless your really blasting it. Pics would help.

How would you describe the mycelium covering the substrate when you introduced to fruiting conditions? Sounds like the mycelium on the surface of your substrate is a bit delicate, I'm stumped...

I waited until full colonization plus i waited a full week for some extra consolidation. I mean all the myc isnt coming off but some of it is..i checked this morning and most of it is back. But the myc isnt fluffy besides for a couple spots so i dont know. But i know its normal because all my trays had the same myc and fruited perfectly with the casing.
When i get home I'll just snap a pic or 2

No i have one of those brita water filter jug things..so i fill it with tap water and use that. I always make sure the filter is working properly and doesnt need to be replaced.

The pitcher filter doesn't filter out as much as the faucet filter:
What Doe Brita Filter Out?
I'd make the $1 investment in a gallon of spring water.
Have you thought of casing with verm?

What exactly is in your tray? Is it just colonized grain without a bulk sub and no casing?

Flouride and chlorine are 2 common additives to tap water, that will damage mycelium in s,all doses. Take it for what it is, advice.

You are probably right about the additives. They are not great for any living thing to take in....
Everyone knows water Flouridation was just a communist mind control tactic anyway. (joking)
I have never noticed a difference between bottled and tap in regards to mycology, but I strongly agree that certain plants like carnivorous plants, some orchids, broad leaf peas, ect... greatly prefer rainwater/deionized water to tap.
