dunking in nutrient broth?

So the purpose of dunking is to replace the water used up during mycelium/fruit growth. The cake stops fruiting when it runs out of the nutrients in the BRF.
I was wondering if anyone has tried dunking in a nutrient-containing broth such as yeast extract, peptone, etc.. to replace the lost nutrients. Could this help produce more flushes?

It could help produce bountiful flushes of bacteria and mold. Think about what you're asking.

You are pretty much leaving food on your cakes for other fungi/bacteria

Fuck this comes up way too often. Mushrooms weight is related to the bio efficiency which is a comparison of wet mass of fruits vs mass of dry substrate materials. 100% BE is where the wet weight equals the dry weight of the substrate used. So assuming 90% water content, 100% BE with cubes means that 10% of the dry sub weight becomes mushroom tissue. So if you were able to get a single gram of dry nutes to infuse into the substrate, that would be only a tenth of a gram difference in yield.
Moral is not worth it. Given that by the time your fruiting the culture is no longer in a veg state anyway, all those nutes are doing is hanging out to become mold food. Anyone who claims that they got more yield or flushes by doing this are completely full of shit and have no comprehension of how the organisim functions.

Good answer, PW. I'd also like to point out that the leading theory of why cakes benefit from consolidation is because they already have to deal with an overabundance of nutrients.
