Help out a noob

Some time this week I will be getting a spore print from a fellow shroomery member and but my problem is I only have two syringes.
So I was wondering if I could get some half pint jars with sterilize water and scrape the spores into those jars so I could use the spore print in one go. And if it's possible how many half pints jars per print.

Iknow how to make one I was just thinking if it was possible to place the spores in a half pint jars with water so I won't have to use a whole print for two syringes

Just take a few scrapings of the print. Just enough for your syringes. Then store the print for later use.

you can make an LC with a scraping of the print. LC goes further than a syringe and colonizes faster

When I made syringes a lomg time ago I used shot glasses.. though this was before I ever cultivated and I did not have jars yet. If I did, I'd probably have used them instead. Anyways...
I boiled water in a pot. I sucked up boiling water into the syringe a few times and flushed it out. On the last time, I sucked up the boiling water and let the syringe cool to room temperature.
Then with as much sterile technique as I had back then, I iso alcohol wiped a shot glass, emptied half the syringe into it, scraped spores from my print into the glass, stirred it, then sucked it all back up into the syringe..
Oddly this syringe has never failed me.. guess I got pretty lucky.

For those who want to use a whole spore print but only have a couple syringes like me (I only have 2) you could place the print in jars like I did I only did 2 jars but I'm sure I could have done at least 8 half pints. Well that's all.

Did you do this procedure in a still air box?
The print I'm sending you, I suggest you don't use this technique with it. I suggest taking the spores to agar to make sure they're clean, and if they're not clean, you can transfer healthy growth to new dishes until you obtain a clean culture.

Spore to LC is very risky. Spore syringes are very rarely clean enougb for this BRF is pretty forgiving and this the main reason spore syringes are sold I think. But the nasties in a syringe will just thrive in an LC just like your myc
Many of my germination plates show bacteria on agar from spore syringe
LC is fine but you need to put your culture to agar first, clean it uo and inoculate the LC with that.

From what I've seen spore print to lc has a 50% success rate but its faster cause steps are skipped; no spore syringe making, no agar work. Just make more than one lc and throw out the bad one. To each his own. Good luck op. There are many different ways to get where you want to be. Just do some research.
