The Song in your head Right Now
    #21847010 - 06/23/15 06:08 PM (8 years, 7 months ago)

I want to start a forum of lyrics currently stuck in your head.
Who knows, maybe you'll have a song stuck in your head and you want a new one so you come here and get that fix.

I'm making it sound like the Subject of this post isn't self-explanatory. I'll start.
Maybe later we can add a What Drugs Compliment What Songs the Best game or something.

Plateau - Nirvana

"Many a hand has scaled the grand old face of the plateau
Some belong to strangers and some to folks you know
Holy ghosts and talk show hosts are planted in the sand
To beautify the foothills and shake the many hands

Nothing on the top but a bucket and a mop
And an illustrated book about birds
You see a lot up there but don't be scared
Who needs action when you got words"

(weed)

This song has been stuck in my head for nearly a week!

Against Me! - Up The Cuts

I can’t sleep.
Dry red eyes wide open.
Stare at the white stucco ceiling.
I turn on the TV,
watch music on television.
Have I heard this song before?
Did this already happen?
Derived influence in style of dress.
Similar trends in camera technique and editing.
Sync up the cuts to the bass drum kick.
All the taste makers drinking from the same glass.
Is there anyone thinking what I am?
Is there anyone thinking what I am?

Are you restless like me?

All the insiders rumor over the decline in sales.
All the buzz is happening in the new digital market place.
FBI warning printed on the flipside.
Under penalty of law piracy will be prosecuted.
In MRR someone asks the question,
“With the instant availability of information
and content so easily obtainable
is the culture now a product that’s disposable?”
All the punks still singing the same song.
Is there anyone thinking what I am?
Is there any other alternative?

Are you restless like me?

Sublime-Caress Me Down
Mucho gusto me llamo bradley i'm hornier than ron jeremy
And if you wanna get popped in your knee
Just wipe that look off your bati face
You hate me cause I got what you need
A pretty little daughter that we call mexi
If you wanna get beat physically, it will be over in a minute if ya
So she told me to come over and I took that trip
And then she pulled out my mushroom tip
And when it came out it went drip drip drip
I didn't know she had that gi joe kung-fu grip

And it went uuh, and the girl carresed me down, uhh, and thats that loving sound

When I kiss mexi it makes me feel horny
Cause i'm the type of lover with the sensitivity
When she kiss my neck and tickle me fancy
She give me the right kind of love on Sunday morning

--------------------
Alright then, picture this if you will:
10 to 2 AM, X, Yogi DMT, and a box of Krispy Kremes, in my "need to know" post, just outside of Area 51.
Contemplating the whole "chosen people" thing with just a flaming stealth banana split the sky like one would hope but never really expect to see in a place like this.
Cutting right angle donuts on a dime and stopping right at my Birkenstocks, and me yelping...
Holy fucking shit!

That was me and my ex's song.
It was playing when we first met and we played it a hell of a lot while we fucked.

That was a hella good summer.

The greatest PAC man victory in history - Aesop rock

Lazy summer days, like some decrepit land shark dumb luck squad dog lurks sicker deluded
Last sturdy domino leans secluded, don't let stupid delusions lesson super duty labor students
Dragnet lifer solutions daddy loved sloppy dimensions like son daughter links such determinated lepers, successfully disheveled little soldiers developed like serpents despite life sentence ducking
Lemmings some don't like sobriety's dirty lenses, some do, let sleeping dogs lie still, don't look so
Damn lackluster suck defeat lump sum damaged load sample delete late show Dave letterman, shitty diner, lip slide Dutch low self discipline leaders see dead lung self destruct LIFE SUCKS DICKHEAD, lost summers display laminate showcaseing divinity live system definitive liturgy soaked
Despite lowly spectacular delight, why what kind of LSD you like?
The lizard king has spoken ( all hail ) you In the back of the muck, those trails arnt necessarily bunk
Some will try and recapture the same flag but I played it safe and recognize the summertime passed.

Aesop is the king.

My favorite Aesop Rock song is None Shall Pass
and it always reminds me of All I Can Do by Felt

"And when the wind blows as hard as it blows right now
All I can do is put my hood up and walk
And when the wind blows as hard as it blows right now
All I can do is close my eyes and talk"

they're just chill

I think artists who drew their original inspiration from specific drugs (like LSD) should stick with those drugs for making new arts (for a lack of better, broad word encompassing all forms of art).
My worry is that when TOOL comes out with their final album, that it will suck, because the dimethyl inspiration is so far gone from Maynard's head.
Other TOOL fans generally bitch at me for this thought.

I would refer you to my cousin from Kentucky, he loves tool and feels the same way about the new album coming out.

You don't even have to be on drugs to get the "on drugs while listening to music" feeling while listening to tool.

It just sucks you in, brain first. You know the feeling I"m talking about.

That can't be simple to create.  :lighter:
