Mycelium VS Contam

I finally found the time grow again and started up a few weeks ago, with a 2year old print from my last grow, right now trying to isolate a good clone on agar To kill the time waiting for my plates to expand i kept two that got contaminated with a bunch of different intruders alive, just to see how it would work out
Its cubensis mycelium, the strain is supposedly from india called orissa I got it from the FSRE and they said it could eat trich for breakfast
Well apparently it does, heres a pic a day for a week

Clearly its aryan heritage allowed this superior strain to dominate the coloured contamination WHITE POWER!

I can only guess that the green shit was trich, no idea what the other contams could be, but apparently this one put up more of a fight

dont believe BS like this. trich feeds off cube mycelium, not the other way around.

Yea i know that you can never really get rid of contams, this was just for the fun of it not really a serious thread I really like how the pics turned out in the end, next time ill try and use a tripod or something to make a nice timelapse
I am wondering how this would play out in a tub tho, i cant see how a tiny parasite can drain the entire shroom dead Maybe someday ill give that a shot if i can find a place far away from my clean cultures

yes the cottony stuff.
no prints are sterile or even close. thats why its a good thing to transfer as soon as you see growth so you dont end up with half your plate filled with molds.

So just when i wanted to clean out my old plates to make a new batch for transfers, i saw this baby pop up

Not sure if i can get a clean transfer from that heavily contamed plate, but ill sure try to get me some of that killer invitro fruiting clone Should at least be better than just randomly isolating sectors and hope for the best
