It probably doesn't feel too good, but I'm reluctant to say it would have definitely suffered severe injuries. Equal and opposite reaction and all.. If you hit with enough force to severely maim something, you'd expect your car to show the same in damage.

Case in point.
I was walking out the front door of an apartment complex one night last week, and as the door shuts I hear pained squeaking. I look behind me on the ground, and there's a mouse crushed halfway through the door on the hinge side. I opened the door and it was able to drag itself forward a little bit, but it was really mangled.
I stomped it. Didn't really know what else to do. Thing was all fucked up.
Fucking horrible timing, though. It was like some villain in an action movie who needed to tried to be greedy and run back to get the last bit of loot before a security door shut or something.

In this state road killed animals are legal.
There was a bear hit on the interstate not too long ago. The paper said "bear hit by truck going 60 miles per hour"..I was like man, that bear was hauling ass!
Shit happens man, just dont hit a tree or an on coming car. It is what it is.

I was driving to my friends house a couple weeks ago and the car in front of me hit a deer. The deer must have ramped up/been deflected by the hood and windshield, we were going maybe 65-70mph. I've never seen anything like it. The thing flew up at least 15 feet in the air. Like I was maybe 3-4s behind the driver that hit it and the deer landed on the side of the road right as I drove by.
I think this guy handled it like a boss. He didn't try to swerve or slam on the brakes in traffic he just plowed through (then pulled over). I slowed down and gave him a wave to make sure he was ok and he looked fine so I decided it was better not to cause more of an obstacle and keep moving. After the shock abated I was like 'I wish I had got that on video'
It's kinda tragic that animals have to suffer like that just so people can get to the store or movies or job. I know they're just animals, but it is a good reason not to drive like a complete jackass, even when you think it's ok 'cause there's no other cars around.

Yeah I've been watching auto accident videos. It's crazy how they'll just be zipping along, then in under a second something blocks the way, they maybe scream for an instant, and that's it. Even driving cars, things like that shouldn't be too far from your mind when operating a vehicle. You can be the most talented rider in the world, but if you make poor decisions you will die all the same.

Yeah man, don't be so hard on yourself, you did not mean to, to bad you can't stand slaughtering up animals thought, in the sense to make it usable meat.
I was in the car with my brother one time over 25 years ago, and this fucking beagle came out of nowhere and just ran into the car like it was committing suicide, got ran over by the backwheel. It was AWFUL man, the kids had just been let out of school and were all walking home, I am talking like elementary school kid age, and they saw it, the dog was yelping, and the kids were trying to help it, we saw that when we turned around and was going to stop, but just could'nt man. It was not his fault at all, and we all felt terrible

I used to work in middle of nowhere Wyoming and drove the roads there at like 4 AM (Wyoming has more wildlife than people), and I must've hit like literally dozens of rabbits. They would shoot across the road like bullets, right at the absolute last second in front of the vehicle. It was like they were committing suicide or some shit.
And they have wild horses in WY, and one morning I came around a curve (pretty fucking fast) and in the middle of the road there was a horse -- just standing there like a fucking statue. I swerved and must've missed it by literally a foot.
If I would've hit him square I'm pretty sure I would've been dead (along with him). People die all the time in Alaska (among other places) from hitting moose, and horse are in the same neighborhood as far as size goes.

Damn man, you are way lucky!
Not that a deer could not kill you by smashing into one, but FAR less likely then a horse or a moose, I saw a video were a car hit a cow, I don't remember how much damage it did to the car, but this fucking cow went flying straight over into another cars windshield like at least 15 feet away it seemed, it was pretty crazy

Yeah man it was scary as hell. I was pretty shook up for the rest of that drive.
Needless to say I learned to slow it down after that on the roads. That horse encounter was always in the back of my mind from that point forward.

Local weed man was driving down a back road in one of those mustang 5.0's.. hit a deer and had it ride up the hood and through the windshield. It kicked him all to pieces.

One more abomination of the Mustang name off the road. Good.
