When fruiting BFR PF tek cakes in the perlite fruiting chamber do I have to attach some some of meter to the fruiting chamber?
Also where and how mamy holes does one have to drill in the fruiting chamber?

I just finished my first round of cakes, im gonna post a wall of text with what ive learned, and stuff that you NEED to know, you may already know it, but judging by your questions probably now.
Follow the lets grow mushrooms videos BRF/PF parts 1-4 if you already haven't, im going to fill in some info left out on the free vids, but if you haven't already bought them and downloaded them for $8, do it, great investment and invaluable info. here we go
first off, the instrument to measure rH is called a hygrometer, and there is a lot of differing opinions on if you really even need one or not. People say you need to learn what you cakes need and how to respond to them and that is something a machine cant tell you. Besides that, the only humidity that matters is on the surface of the cakes, which is what rolling them in vermiculite provides.
I would put 5" of perlite, worked well for me, anything less than that is not optimal although if you are at 4.5" it might not hurt that bad
Also, you want to elevate the SGFC at least 4 inches, most people say to elevate it 6" or more, but as long as its elevated 4 inches it doesn't really matter.
Make sure it is clear of obstructions at least 1 1/2 to 2 feet on all sides, preferable in a room with minimal to no airflow
Now, for constructing the SGFC(shotgun fruiting chamber) The agreed apon method is to use a 2x2" grid pattern, on all 6 sides(yes, including bottom and lid). Easiest way to do this is to get a piece of paper, turn it horizontal, and make a 2x2 grid, starting 2" from the bottom of the paper, then just line it up with your tub and drill away(using a 1/4" drill bit--IMPORTANT) I like to start mine 1 1/2" to 2" inches from the bottom, I read that in a few teks so I went with it, and it worked well for me, no FAE problems.
Also, after putting the perlite in, DO NOT pack it down, and use a pen or something to stick thru the bottom holes and make sure they aren't plugged, its a big deal.
If you have any more questions feel free to pm me, peace, and good luck

The directions are going to be your best bet for building one so we don't have to type it out again
Not a single fruiting chamber TEK calls for a "meter" to be attached. Except the old shit ones floating around, but a 4th grade research skill easly weeds out shit like that
