That definitely doesn't look good. I'd toss them but wait to see what others say.
-------------------- Alright then, picture this if you will: 10 to 2 AM, X, Yogi DMT, and a box of Krispy Kremes, in my "need to know" post, just outside of Area 51. Contemplating the whole "chosen people" thing with just a flaming stealth banana split the sky like one would hope but never really expect to see in a place like this. Cutting right angle donuts on a dime and stopping right at my Birkenstocks, and me yelping... Holy fucking shit!

I agree they don't look good.
If it isnt a spore load, take a paper towel and wipe it. If it comes off its a contamination. If it doesn't, it's just heavily bruised.
Dry brown/yellow discoloration is an indication of it being too dry (what your brown spots look like), and metabolites is from being too wet. Also bruising is from being too dry, as well as very rough handling.

No peroxide. It's heavily bruised imo from being handled and dry. Peroxide would make it worse. You want to keep them glistening wet, with no pooled water on it. Also you want to spray them gently but thoroughly, as well as handle and dunk gently. Keep them well hydrated from now on. They must look wet with no pooled water at all times.

I do. It isn't black mold. It would have wiped off some onto the paper towel. Besides, it looks like it's part of the mycelium. Not fluffy like black molds I've seen are. It's definitely just bruised. Secondary and tertiary mycelium can bruise black.

The brown is from being too dry so you probably didn't have to throw it out. It's just dying mycelium. It got worse because it NEEDS to get hydrated/misted more. Add more perlite and poke the bottom holes with a pen if you're having issues. Make sure the bottom holes aren't clogged, perlite is damp all the time, maybe add an inch of perlite, and keep the cakes glistening wet with multiple daily mistings. In the pics they look really dry.

Haha I like to help, so it's no problem at all. Usually the first grow is a write off. You should be very happy you got fruits, because my first couple times I didn't get anything but disappointment. Took me 6 months to see my first fruits.
