Are those hairs or huge ass trichomes? I don't think I have ever seen hairs like that on salvia, and they look pretty huge to be trichomes
Looking good though

Not at all going to suggest anything for you to change since you are already working magic voodoo here with these seedlings, but do you have any sort of fan or air movement on them or anything to help with stem strengthening? Good job, Keep it up!
-------------------- One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. 'Which road do I take?' she asked. 'Where do you want to go?' was his response. 'I don't know', Alice answered. 'Then', said the cat, 'it doesn't matter.'

Hey CRM, good to hear from you.
Thanks! and by all means I encourage observational suggestions, especially from green thumbs! I Don't use a fan on them but they do get some air movement from an open window and the a/c. I blow on them too, lol serious.

Those "hairs" are glandular trichomes, that contain Salvinorin A. Look up a paper called, "localization of Salvinorin A and Related Compounds in Glandular Trichomes of the Phychoactive Sage, Salvia Divinorum.pdf
Or you can just click here: http://www.researchgate.net/publication/8616633_Localization_of_salvinorin_A_and_related_compounds_in_glandular_trichomes_of_the_psychoactive_sage_Salvia_divinorum
It makes for a good read, that's for sure =)

Glad you enjoyed it. I'm spending my time today sterilizing heirloom seeds, so I can germinate them in agar. It's getting so expensive to buy organic produce these days.

Plantseeker, you have an apparent involvement with plants. Do you do this for a living?, student, or is it a interest/hobby?
Cheers

It's just a hobby, but hoping for a full career with the plant world. There's just an unlimited amount of information to learn from plants. While the world is busy learning from space and seeking out new life, we have life right here on earth, that we understand very little of. We shouldn't have sickness, disease, or world hunger. Plants can solve all of those problems, that's one of the reasons why they are here. In the end, some of my goals are to preserve their lives, learn as much as I can, grow from what I learn, and pass it to the next generation.

I don't believe anything I see on the internet until it's very clear that the person posting isn't trying to trick everyone. These could of been some other random salvia's but you've really stumbled onto something special, and you're the first person to actually do it instead of talking themselves up without any proof. You deserve the credit for this. It's not trickery, just greatness. Carry on!
