Abused the shroom... paid the price

Hello All,
So I got back into growing about 6 months ago and made a noob mistake. My cakes started flushing and I soon began to dose whenever I had free time. I abused them. And it didn't go well.
Last Saturday I harvested close to 15 grams dry off 4 cakes and immediately took a 3 gram dose after about a 3 month break. Trip was excellent with great visuals and mind therapy.
Then I said fuck it, and dosed 3.5 grams on Sunday. I know. It was a mistake. I still tripped pretty good but the visuals were definitely limited.
Tuesday comes, I say "Hey, its been 2 day... maybe I should dose again". Took 2.5 grams and had a very mild trip.
Thursday took a 4 gram trip on my day off and had a decent trip but it only lasted like 2 hours max. My head started feeling shitty.
Then Saturday, I took 5 grams... didn't feel anything other than a body load, nausea, and very weird head space. Pretty much all the symptoms of tripping that suck.
So I come here to apologize for abusing their power and to possibly be a guide to someone who may go down this same road. After this experience, I truly feel that 7 days is the bare minimum. That Saturday trip was just awful. Couldn't get comfortable, irritated, etc.
I'm harvesting more cakes this week but don't intend on doing anything until 2 weeks. Tripping weekly can have its merits, but I learned the hard way that abusing these things will catch up to you. 5 grams would've rocked my ass without tolerance. And instead, I have wasted a ton of my harvest.
Thanks for listening. Take this advice: slow your roll

Good advice. My buddy got bad hppd from eating microdots too often. He hates it and refuses to trip ever again.

Cheer up, it could be much worse. When I saw the thread title I thought it was going to be about freaking out, injury, hospitals, police, jail..etc. All you did is build a tolerance and waste some shrooms. One good thing about growing them is that there's always more on their way.

2 weeks bro....I've been tripping every 2 weeks for 8 months and is still a magical experience every time. I take one week to analyze and integrate the previous trip and then spend a week planning the next adventure. go out and do something f****** cool like go to nature or the beach or something like that. people on here really don't seem to know a lot about set and setting. or they don't seem to utilize it very often or very well. kind of disgusts me when people treat this s*** like toys not tools. if you want to treat it like a toy I hope you have a bad f****** trip! not you in particular bro but anybody that wants to treat the mushroom trivially. I went to some old school deadhead house and everyone there was tripping on acid in this dingy dirty house and I was like "fucking gross "....they thought they were hardcore trippers or something like that but if they can't find a better place than that the trip they're just a bunch of f****** noobs as far as I'm concerned. no matter how much s*** they've eaten previously. idiots.

Good advice. Lucky that nothing too bad happened, you hear all sorts of crazy stories about people losing it here
Tripping is best done infrequently. As you found out, tolerance builds extremely fast anyways.
And you know, you can fucking swear in here, reading that post full of ***'s is painful..!

Yeah every 14 to 21 days is the break needed for basically full force awesome trips. It is good you learned the hard way about abusing the shrooms and stacking in too many trips together. That is how I learned and how most people learn from what i've read and seen in person.

I try to put 2 weeks to a month in between for for that very reason. Seen a few stories like this and learned from others before I made that mistake for myself thankfully

Glad you learned your lesson. I trip every 2 weeks (14 days) and its always golden. I used to trip every 7 days, and it was still pretty golden. I would never consider doing it as frequently as you did.
Just have some patience friend.

Thanks for the comments guys!
Yes, I too hate it when people treat mushrooms like some sort of recreational high. I have one more thing I'd like to run by you guys:
I have a roommate, my cousin, who I love and grew up with all my life. The problem is that I have had some experiences in college and met some new friends who have changed my life for the better. We both grew up in small towns, prejudice people who were either alcoholics, junkies, or jesus freaks.
But I got away for a few years and now I see the prison oneself builds around himself when surrounded by that environment. So I've introduced him to shrooms gradually and was hoping that it would bring about change in his life. But it really hasn't.
In fact, I think he might have some mental issues because all he wants to do is argue with people. Constantly. He is a functional alcoholic. And he isn't aware of how ignorant he sounds when he continues to be prejudice. He's extremely negative and i'm nearly out of options. In fact, a positive attitude seems to annoy him. I've been trying help him achieve awareness of how his thoughts and actions are ruining him.
We get along fine, but I was hoping the power of mushrooms could help him. I haven't forced it upon him and he's never taken a large dose, just small ones. Maybe one day he will see the light. Maybe he's a lost cause.

Heres your answer: Your buddy needs a large dose. He needs a large dose that will kick him in the ass and teach him a fucking lesson. Seriously. Whether or not he is aware how large the dose is he is taking (make him a tea), give him a level 4-5. That is his only chance, IMO, based on what you said, IME.

.....slip him a nice 7 gram dose. then use some strategic videos to brainwash that s*** out of his mind. fill his mind with empathy for ever and ever.the worst thing that could happen is nothing.

Happy you learned such a good lesson. The mushrooms must've known you would, or your lesson probably would have been trips much worse than what you described.

Alcoholism is no joke and I just stopped drinking myself. Started drinking super young and have over 15 years of very hard drinking on the books already. He wont be a more positive and accepting person for as long as he is an alcoholic. Now I am not anti drinking or super anti alcoholics or anything, but that is just the truth of the beast that is alcoholism. I am pretty negative by nature and drinking only makes it worse and me care less about everything. My friend also has 15+ years of hard drinking, but just got out of treatment 2 months ago and is much nicer and happier now that he isn't drunk 24/7 an always hungover. He was insanely negative and rude while being a drunk for over a decade. The 2 months of sobriety have helped him, plus legal weed state so he can go grab joints from the local government owned stores haha.
Anyways i'm just letting you know that you shouldn't expect his personality to change until he quits drinking. I have had a lot of friends die behind drinking, or commit the worst possible crimes and end up in prison for decades and decades. Not much positive comes from being an alcoholic whether it's "functional" or the non functional variety. Being surrounded by like minded people and in a state of perpetual drunkenness wont bring about any type of positive change for people unless they choose to end the brutal cycle.

You learned your lesson OP, the mushroom taught you well.
Apologize to them too (the newly ones growing, but I bet you already did) wait a couple weeks at least, make a good settling, put up some good tones, eat 4 grams dry and you will have a fabulous trip. Follow your intuition for future trips, don't just do it. I had long lulls of no tripping and just stocking my growths of 4-5 months, and then maybe I trip twice in a month, or three times in two months, then a whole month wait, etc... I just do them when I feel is right or needed.

Idk, if you're waiting for tolerance to dissipate and trip again I feel like you're not getting the same message I got from them.
Not that it matters, I'm just in awe at those who like to trip as often as possible. The shrooms tell me to do the opposite, and live in reality for a long while. Then eventually I stray and end up ingesting them again and learning the same lesson. It's never been a "can't wait to do this again in x days" ordeal.
We're all different though.

.....I'm having a total mushroom Renaissance right now! :-)I've actually never done mushrooms this consistently at any time previously in my life. after a long hiatus I came back to mushrooms and absolutely enjoying my experiences to the maximum! Being a little older now I can take a lot more from it and design and build custom trips that are fun and amazing!I have integrated so many things into my life through the empathetic understanding imparted by the mushroom.I eat really good and exercise as well as try to be meditative and thoughtful. it improved my intellectual understanding as well as my spiritual capacity.
My life is better because of mushrooms and their lessons. who knows what the future will bring, but for now, I intend to continue with my bi monthly ritualistic experiences!
