G'day guys, first timers here. Not sure if this is two seperate species or one over age (hoping for Psilocybe subaeruginosa).

Species #1
Habitat: Cow field, growing from dung. Gills: White to light yellow. Stem: White, tough. 5-7cm long, 1-2 wide. Cap: Varying degrees of light yellow/cream and brown. Conical and umbonate. Bruising: No colour change General location: SW Victoria, Australia.
Species #2
Habitat: Cow field, growing in dung. Gills: Dark brown, adnate. Stem: White, tough. Cap: Umbonate, light brown. Bruising: no colour change. General location: SW Victoria, Australia.
P.S: We made sure to take precautions when picking and spread the spores around after. Not sure if that's necessary with all species but we did it just in case.

Probably all the same in different stages. It looks like an Agrocybe sp.

P. subaeruginosa won't grow from dung, as far as I know.
They're considered a woodlover species.
Welcome to the Shroomery!

Well that's a pity, thanks for the info though. I tried looking up info on Agrocybe sp. but only get info on the entire genus? Is this shroom edible or posionous?

Side note: The spore print has come through as brown.

Hi, apologies for the knee jerk response, or hitch hiking on your ID request. I still not quite find the button for creating a new Id request.
I like the form and structure and will endeavour to maintain the standards.
Will try again - still hoping there is some use to these two species growing together??
Species 1:
Habitat : Cow field - very old cow pats, lots of clusters around, seems to be more prevalent in older paddocks that have had less interference. Gills: dark Brown Stem: light colour Cap: creamy brown darkening with age Bruising: none noticed General location: SW Geelong, Victoria
Species 1:
Species 1: The lower one:
Species 2 : The spores and mushrooms above Specimen 1 as above.
Sepecies 2:
habitat: Settled paddocks, old cow manure pats, a few sprout next to species 1, Gills: dark, black Stems:dark, greyish Cap: Greyish, bell shaped, seem to have a lot more moisture than Species 1,( longer to dry) Brusing: none noticed. General location: SW Geelong, Victoria
P.S. Noted that early morning picking meant the stems were more brittle, latter afternoon everything felt more spongy and flexible
Hope this is a better representation, enough to know if i should ditch what i got or not!! Many thanks to all for this great forum, baby steps getting into this great 'Hobby', been loving the peace.
Blessings

No worries man, probably better than starting a new thread for the same species .
Your first lighter coloured species looks very similar to the one I have. After Anglerfish's suggestion and some reading on local species it looks most like Agrocybe semiorbicularis (also grows in grass and cow dung).
I could be entirely wrong as this is my first hunt so please don't take my word for it.

Thanks. Ya my first time hunting also.
My inspiration came from seeing my brother collecting them the other day and saying they were good.
Looks like they are not the right ones though. Will hold out for another perspective but starting to let go of the idea that there is 2 fields full of these guys about 200m from me
All good though... learning more and will look deeper:)

Yeah same here, was waiting and hoping for someone to come swooping in with Psilocybin ID, but I faced reality and threw them out today. Still, keeps it interesting for the next hunt! Good luck with yours
