And yeah, have fun tiptoeing past your wife that you OBVIOUSLY chose because she was smart and was a good match for your personality. Right?
This.
OP... Listen to the people here. We do this for free and have your best interests in mind.
Don't ask for advice and then argue it with the only ones trying to help you. Trying to assert yourself without posting a link or any science to substantiate you claims is bad form and will not get you far here.
Good luck to you.
You might go ahead and forward that reply, to sarcastic users who don't consider how their posts sound via text. I personally don't need to read it. (i did) I only ever respond in kind to how I'm treated initially, so please bear that in mind when reading any reply of mine that might sound mean. As for doing this for free, nobody is asking you to. You're participating in a hobby and you get enjoyment out of visiting these forums and talking to other like minded people. If you didn't, you wouldn't be here. So if you feel like your reply should somehow be given more weight because "you're doing it for free" then I'd be curious to know how well that pans out on other enthusiast forums.
Lastly, and at the risk of sounding somehow conceited or arrogant, it is quite unlikely that anyone here is going to teach me anything new when it comes to physics. While I'm loathe to discuss much about my personal life other than a few details relevant to the discussion, I will say that I'm a trained engineer. Graduated from University of Texas in 08. I'm up to my eyeballs every day in physics. So you'll have to forgive me if some... guy saying a heavy gas won't move into a lower area, and then getting butthurt when he's corrected, doesn't rub me the wrong way a bit. If it wouldn't, I wouldn't be able to post this, cause I'd be dead. 16 other people who work with me would also be dead right now. But I assure you they're all quite alive and well. So please don't just rush into some kind of assumption about me, but rather consider why the conversation is being had in the first place.
As for my wife, its pretty clear that I never should have mentioned it because none of you would ever do anything that someone else might disapprove of. Right? Parents, grandparents, respected teachers, fellow scholars, close friends, all of these people are perfectly happy that you've chosen to do shrooms and in fact support it. Right? You all seem to know her so well, that you keep suggesting things that she'd never actually do! Have your mushroom trips given you psychic ability that you're not mentioning? At the mere mention of this person, you now know them?
There is such a thing as going off topic, and on many forums its moderated and posts are deleted. I didn't ask anyone their opinion on whether or not I should do something that someone else may disapprove of. I asked a specific question, all I wanted was an answer to that question. I really shouldn't have to be telling you this, this is something you all should know by now. You'd think you would at least, given the post count some of you have.

Okay whatever, make holes in all your shit so CO2 can fall out onto the floor, not unlike the remains of your marriage.
Calling me butthurt, because you're a know it all engineer (LOL, if I had a nickel every time I heard that) and I offended your sense of all-knowingness.
That's the definition of butthurt. I'm just over here being correct.

More idiotic psychic claims about someone you've never met and don't know's personal relationships eh? With that kind of logic, I can see that I should have just put you on ignore from the very beginning, because you're probably just some trolling moron. Good for you, I'm happy for ya. Personally I couldn't care less whether or not you believe me about what my job is, your disbelief isn't going to change anything. As for "poking all kinds of holes" please cite specifically, where I said I was going to "poke all kinds of holes". Have you ever even watched this most basic of videos, made to aid newbs to growing? Erm, yeah, looks like holes in there.

Great idea! All the people on my ignore list are people who put unwilling people at risk. Welcome to the club!

So you must hold your breath when you are in basements then?
Certainly given no other influences gases with higher mass will settle lower, but your house isn't a controlled environment and a humid fruiting chamber isn't stagnant.
As far as your wife I think the main concern is not about dissapointing her it's that your actions could affect her future freedoms and career.

Go ahead and ignore me. You know what I do to people that ignore me?
Continue answering questions in their threads anyway because I don't give a fuck.
I'll just still be there talking and you won't be able to defend yourself if you're wrong, and people will quote me and you'll see it anyway. There's really just no point unless your skin is so thin you can't handle legitimate criticism.
But yeah, sure, I'm the one trolling. Maybe if I got to a point where I adamantly believed I knew everything about physics, ignored experienced advice, and hid illegal shit from my loved ones, I could finally be like you.
