check out the pictures at the beginning of this thread.... its just where the mycelium was growing through the dry verm layer.... so it was just like hanging when I took it of the jar.... so i put the hanging mycelium end down.... and it just kept growing... super aggressive..

It's not a good thing that the mycelium would rather colonize everything in sight rather than fruit. Bummer. I wonder if this incidence is genetic or just a freak occurrence caused by something environmental.

why do you say that... where do you see bacterial contaminate... do you say that because of the mycelium growing like crazy... and the pin set being small??  please explain... thanks

I need to agree with PF, it looked bacterial to me as well. The mycelium appears stressed.

Bacteria doesn't always stink to high hell like rotting wbs.

If those mycellium strands break off and not bend, it is bacterial.....

Definitely bacteria.  Probably why your pinset is so bad.

I have to admit I'm still really fucking impressed with how far into the perlite it colonized.

well.... alot of the growth of the mycelium happened in the jar.... before i birthed them.... then when I put them in the fruiting chamber it continued to  grow.... for about a week.... but then it seems to have stopped growing... and began to fruit.... is it that the mycelium  is growing  the reason you guys think it is contaminated? and the bad pinset?

No I see metabolites all over that suggest bacteria is present in large amounts.  You see the yellow liquid right?

Besides metabolite, that mycelium looks extremely stressed out. Growing upwards like that and forming blobs; definitely not health mycelium.

Are these your Golden Halo? They look like any other Cube really... but still getting golden spores out of them?
Maybe try taking a fruit and cloning it. Start with cleaner spawn.
