Why hello tharrr I am curious... is there anyone else out that that presses record, audio or video, during and/or after the experience? I have been taking recordings for a couple of years now, when i can, of people during and after the dmt experience, qmazing stuff... being a sitter is almost more exciting for me, and i always press record. Im slowly writing a book about all the experiences.
Anywho, what i want to know is, does anyone else press record? And do you find it as important as i do? Have you had any of tjose moments where you say, "fuck im glad i pressed record..."? Tell me about it!!! Im obsessed with the experience, constantly read experience threads, and constantly add to my recordings... keen to hear moar
Also if you're in sydney and are keen for a face to face discussion about he experience, i am always keen to meet people for 3xa tly this purpose. Hit me up!!! I travel around aus too so im always keen!
P.s: currently on a plane to melbourne for a recording feel free to hit me up if you wanna meet and chat!!!!
Love you all -hH

I usually just say expressions like "woah", "wow", "thank you" or laughter. And I have best results with eyes closed, my body is still. There's really nothing to record from the outside. IME video recording creates an unnecessary pressure to act at a certain aesthetic level. I think it easily distracts the user from having or expressing a true experience. Even when I'm in a group and it's someone else's turn I don't watch them just to give them the privacy of an unjudged experience. It's really so personal that the effects are best left undescribed. I've seen people spoil a naturally incredible 5 minutes by trying to follow it with 10 minutes of explaining and rationalizing it.
The Spirit Molecule documentary is a good example. The subjects were trying it in a lab setting surrounded by strangers giving them attention and expecting different results. Not only did it heavily influence the style of their trip, but the way they recount it. I don't think it was a well done study but prob the best they could do within legal parameters.

Any recordings/notes left for a few month and then looked at later are usually bs and not worth mentioning. Most of my own recordings have so much bad rational logic to them that I am glad I never shown it to other people.

In the summers of 1980 and 1981 I did a lot of tripping - I was 16/17 years old. I had an old reel-to-reel tape recorder in my room and I hit record during a lot of my late night trips. Sometimes friends would be over, sometimes I was alone. I would sing/play songs on guitar, make silly farting noises, pretend I was a radio announcer. I also recorded my thoughts on my parents, my friends, my girlfriend, my trips, existence and the universe.
I still have those tapes in a road case in my storage shed along with the tape deck. Last time I hooked that thing up was around 1995 when I transfered some original demo songs to the computer. I checked out one or two of the tripping tapes. Incredibly silly and nonsensical.. but pretty interesting in retrospect. But WAY too embarrassing to let anyone else hear. I'll end up dying and my grown up kids will listen to the tapes and think I was a complete moron/weirdo.
