What do you guys think? What's missing?
I loved seeing deloused by the mars Volta on there but I think France's the mute should be there too. I heavily agreed with hemispheres by rush. But no Meddle by Pink Floyd?

Looks like I was right and was happy to see King Crimson up on #2 as well.

King crimson makes the list a few times. I've always appreciated them but now I might try to dive deeper.
I'm currently listening to 50. Happy the man

You win. There are a bunch of albums I don't really consider progressive, like Supertramp, and I would have picked some different albums from other bands. It was nice to see Van der Graaf there and Crack the Sky and FM Of those three they got the right album only once. Crack the Sky. FM Headroom is a masterpiece and so is Van der Graaf World Record. For Camel they got the right album.
FM Headroom
Van der Graaf
When She Comes. Gives me chills with how fucking great it is.
I wouldn't have picked Court of the Crimson King as the best Crimson. Larks Tongue and Starless and Red are much better. They did get the best Genesis album right, though. And Rush? I don't fucking think so. Get the fuck outta here.

I agree Zappa Larks Tongue is way better but I think that they chose Court of the Crimson because at the time it was revolutionary?
I was raised on Rush so yes I actually agree with that Rush should be up there.

Hemispheres by rush is most certainly Prog. If you heard the book of Cygnus you might reconsider. I didn't think super tramp was Prog either. I'll get to 47 though for sure, thanks for the recommendation

Guaranteed product. Crack the Sky
I never considered them prog. They're basic rock and roll through and through.

LOL i can feel you on that. i don't think he's too bad, for like some power metal vocals, but he definitely isn't swooning anyone with his voice, no.
but i don't usually care about that shit. the instrumentals are fucking Aplus and the album is generally top notch...save the guys voice.

It's like a butterface for me. Deal breaker. They'd be better off totally instrumental.

DEus could be considered prog rock too. most of their albums have real Freak Out kinda bent, not in terms of mimicking oldies kinda R&B songs but in the sense that they are heavily experimenting with new sounds and non-traditional rock instruments and sounds and composition on different tracks.
example:

damn though. yeah, i can easily ignore vocals, i've listened to plenty of Death Metal. but yeah, i can dig it, it would really be something without the vocals. Western Desert doesn't have TOO much.
but yeah the list is missing great instrumental prog band Pochakaite Malko

here are the lyrics to Instant Street, because they're so awesome.
You're probably right, seen from your side, that I've been lucky but I've been meaning to crack all week. Yes I've been involved, it never resolved into anything shocking. Pains playing yoyo in my body as we speak.
And now I found something to look for, but I can't decide, 'Cause I might find that to stroll behind is better than to score. Just like I did before.
It wouldn't be true, not towards you, to say that I'm staying. When on every single impulse, on every other move I react. 'Cause in any old creek, with changing technique, you'll see me playing. After any old motherfucking blow I'll be back.
We turned away from instant stuff our cracking codes were breaking up our words were sucked out it made them clean. And after lowness say it and after more let it be known Our codes are grown into something mean.
You're probably right, as for tonight, you're making me nervous. What is it you want me to be thinking of? I'll put on a movie, I'll play something groovy as a matter of service And I'll chuckle when you smile as a matter of love. 'Cause you know it's not my style to be giving up now. And this pain in my side, I had enough.
This time I go for Instant Street This life's a soulless excuse for all abuse and parenthesis. The flyspecked windows and the stinking lobbies they'll remain all the same, all the same.
This time I go. This time I go...
