its rare for tubs not to fruit at all correct? assuming that there was proper temperature and airflow?, the casing was more than moist for the first week, and now im keeping it at a perpetual moistre level of saturated, but not highly saturated, ie moist to the point where any more moisture would lead to it looking "wet"

If the substrate has a bacterial infection, it can take a while or not fruit at all. Sometimes in the case of bacteria, trich is never too far behind.

well upon looking up the beginnings of trichoderma, i can conclude that my substrate does not have trich just by looking at the white mycelial growth; secondly i have smelled my substrate and the only scent it is giving off is the scent when i spawned my grain to coir and gypsum, almost ordorless, but a hint of mushroom smell.
