I'm serious, welfare for the healthy but lazy is a corrosive drug that takes away motivation. I can see it for those with problems that stop them from working like a physical disability or perhaps a very short term of assistance for those who got kicked on the street by a layoff or medical emergency but not a lifetime of payouts.
>who is the biggest supporter of this oppression?
The loony left of course. Is there any bad thing they don't support from oppressive taxes to the tpp, forced fluoride or removing flags they don't like?

That's been my talking point. It seems like people all of a sudden want to take the Confederate flag down to feel like they're doing something.

No.
Maybe in the US it was mostly a white man's idea, but still persists to this day in a number of African, Arab and Asian countries.

Yup, mostly politicians looking for brownie points from their constituents. It's all a crock...Just like making Robert E Lee's name a cuss word. Dude graduated top of his class at West Point and was a brilliant strategist...and....opposed to slavery. Now they want to erase his name from anything positive in society.

it still persists in the black community here in the US
when a black person decides they want out of the ghettos and strives for an education they're verbally and sometimes physically beaten down, I've heard phrases from blacks to other blacks such as "why you wanna talk white?" as if the ebonics speaking peckerhead with a 4th grade education is speaking fucking Swahili. blacks are the largest source of black illiteracy and oppression, it's a shame that they'll never recognize it and it wont change

That is true. Sounds like its negroes keeping others down, not white people.

Who fights for literacy today for all the Hispanics who refuse to learn English in the US? Whites.
My Polish ancestors had to lose some of their culture to successfully assimilate into the US, when we ask many Hispanic cultures in the US to do the same, they get insulted.

We were talking about the old days... I'm quoting your post. You should know what you said... What 'old days' were you talking about? Because if you mean the 1970s-80s, I grew up then. People did jack shit for research.
Technically blacks were allowed to learn to read and draw, but not write. Unless you're saying every history book ever made that up, this was the reality of the old days.

Some of those communities have been Spanish speaking for centuries. There's an entire island of Americans who speak Spanish - Puerto Rico.

Nonsense, no such thing happened in the 70's or 80's. Give a link to a history book which says that. You can't.

Blacks were allowed to read and write in the 70s and 80s, duh... I was saying if you're calling the 70s and 80s the old days, then you are wrong people did research. If you're calling the old days the 1870s, you're still wrong. The majority of people have never done their own research.
I'm starting to wonder if you can read yourself because I thought it's pretty obvious what I meant..

I don't care if someone doesn't want to learn English in the US. Just don't expect them to communicate with the majority, and if they don't speak English or Spanish, don't expect them to communicate with me.

Its obvious what you said and what you meant. Are you going to back it up that they were not allowed to write or that they were kept illiterate as you said previously, or will you admit it was a fantasy? No, since you are a left winger you will admit nothing and just try to change the subject. Its clear you are wrong but you will never admit a thing.

The USA is vast. Why couldn't we? There's already hundreds of Spanish speaking communities all throughout southern portions of the US.
If you want English to be the official language of the US, vote for it. Until then there is no obligation for anyone to learn it.
