Yep, to the fridge! I personally G2G before 100% when I can, because as it nears 100% the overall rate of colonization slows.

I also like to break up the grains a full 24 hours before transferring. This gives the mycelium some recovery time before they are transferred to new jars.

My synthetic filter discs just came in the mail I plan on using the filter instead of polyfill
Is there any way I should prepare them? Soaking them in water/bleach
Or should they be ready to use

Why do you want your mycelium to recover before it's in new jars? That makes no sense to me.

The mycelium will not "recover" to the point where it is going to recolonize the rye and become one solid mass in 24 hours. By shaking the grains 24 hours before doing the G2G transfer, the mycelium will have had time to stabilize. A day after completing the G2G, the transferred rye will have had a full 48 hours since it was first broken up. The mycelium will now have had adequate time to "rest" and be ready to colonize the new grain.

What do you mean by "stabilize?" I mean, how were they unstable before?
