Jars not colonizing
    #21832069 - 06/20/15 11:28 AM (8 years, 7 months ago)

So I just harvested my first grow and all my jars colonized and fruited with no issues. I prepared another seven jars with the same method and its been a week and no signs of colonization. THe only thing I can think of that I did differently was accidentally pressure cook them for too long (I forgot about them). WOuld that cause no colonization? How long should I wait before giving up and starting over?

Do the jars look dry to you? this has caused a lot of jar failure in the past for me as the mycelia doesnt have enough water to support healthy growth or even germinate at all.

Assuming it's from spores, sometimes you just gotta give it time. Spores will germinate at their own rate.
