mini-mono setup!

i dont know if this fall in the mini-mono or not but i just spawned 4 quart jars to 35L tub and 2 quart jars to another 35L tub.
ratio: 1:2.2 or something. substrate: Coir verm gypsum. hole size: 1.5 - 1.7 sub/spawn depth: 2" or a little bit more. i have made the standard holes 2 holes long side at 4" mark following spitball's advice and one short side.
do i need to make more holes, or tape some of em, tape em partially, or iam going good or what??

Cool but i think its not the same with smaller tubs.

Better off with a 3-4" substrate. The depth will help create a more humid environment for the fruiting conditions.

Mono tubs are the same idea big or small. It depends on the size and location of the holes as well as the location of the "mini" mono tub.
What are the physical dimensions of the tub? L"xW"xH"

57×39×28 cm/45liter
Ill try to measure the other one.
And i have already spawned them And they are less than 3" my ratio is 1:2. That wouldnt make a 3" sub. Maybe i should tighten the top holes then

While colonizing make sure all holes are taped up. Duct tape works well, but does leave some sticky residue on the tubs. Gas exchange will be accomplished by the small space between the lid and the tub.
Once in fruiting conditions check the substrate moisture daily. Mist if it looks dry, then fan right after misting to create evaporation. A thin substrate would probably be an issue if your tub was much larger in volume. You should be just fine.

yea i thought 2" in a small tub would be the equivalent of 3" in a large tub. so follow the instruction and leave the top holes lose while the bottom ones tight? and i am going to run a small fan in the room 24/7.

Yes, during fruiting conditions. With a 1:2 ratio your 2-3" substrate should colonize quickly. Probably be fully colonized within 7-10 days.

I was under the impression it was ideal to have the lower holes at substrate level. Not sure exactly why, honestly I don't understand how monotubs FAE system works and don't really intend on making any.
Probably better to run 3.5in of sub or so.

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

I was too lazy to read that last time I saw it. Thanks for motivating me.
So yes, you really want the bottom holes as close to the substrate as possible. He suggests rectangular holes as a way to get more of the hole closer to the sub. CO2 emerges from the substrate and creates the most dense portion of air. If your holes are above substrait level, you must wait for diffusion to carry CO2 upward against gravity, until the average air density above the holes is higher than the outside air.
Essentially I believe your sub will have a puddle of CO2 ontop of it.
Chances are you'll be fine anyway since a minitub with 2-3in of sub doesn't really need that much FAE anyway, not the way some 100qt tub with 4in of sub will.
